And the three future Scum Belch members blame MacLeod for the media rights contract no thanks to two of those new members voting to support stabbing our previous media partner in the back.

You got a link for that.

Contact the Conference USA office then if you want to see the official votes because they don't publicize that on the Internet.

What is public is that somebody at Southern Miss approved of the decision. Just exactly whose words are these? Southern Miss' website doesn't share that info. Probably an official with the university, though.

Quote:We are ecstatic about the new C-USA Television agreement announced today with Fox Sports Networks. The revenue is over twice the amount of the old contract and the football televised games will mainly be on Saturdays with a few slated for Thursday nights. The number of televised events will double in football and basketball.

As we get set for the 2011, once again, we call on our Eagle Club members and fans to support our Golden Eagle coaches and student-athletes. Our boosters and fans are the life-blood of our program and we gratefully appreciate your past support and look forward together making Southern Miss athletics the best it can be.
So the short answer is no, you were talking out of your @ss on this, like many other topics here. What team or university wouldn't echo what the conference did?

Hey why don't you produce a link proving that Southern Piss didn't vote for it, @sswipe?

That doesn't even say we voted on it. Your hatred of the sunbelt and us in particular is at bizarre levels. I mean in several threads you have pretty much blamed us for everything that has ever gone bad in this conference. It's almost comical.

You have to contact Conference USA's office to figure out who voted for what. It was a decision lauded and supported by all members. Try to keep up.

You're the one who provided a link as evidence yet your evidence didn't support your claim at all.

The burden of proof lies with the accuser. You reach out to Conference USA's Office with a FOIA Request.

The vote is not public knowledge, Crapp State boy. The article is just one of many where CUSA officials support the change. I can accuse them of supporting an abrupt change in primary media rights carrier, which ESPN had to the end of 2011 that was changed at the beginning of year to Fox.

I'm not the one that keeps spewing it. You claim this is all out there, produce your evidence to prove your case counselor, otherwise STFU about something you apparently have zero clue about.

I never said that the voting records on stabbing ESPN in the back by Conference USA members in 2011 was "all out there." You can obtain the information, and you're not going to be allowed to share it online because it's proprietary to CUSA that was never made fully public. The individual votes on the change was never made public, but that information is available.

For as many Southern Miss admins falling all over Britton Banowsky for spearheading the change while fawning over Fox in various online articles and editorials, it's clear that Southern Miss supported the change without having Martha Saunders waving her hand saying she voted for it.

See you have said in a few posts that USM was instrumental in cutting ties with ESPN, but you've yet to produce any evidence to support this claim, but now you expect me to provide evidence to prove you wrong, I don't have to. See I asked you for a link and you blew your lid and demanded I show you proof. Not the way it works, the "I'm rubber, your glue" rules only count on the playground, which is probably about the mental capacity I put you at because you post on half assed theories and shout things you have very little understanding about.

There were 12 Conference USA members that were instrumental in destroying Conference USA's relationship with ESPN. Only one will still be a member of the league in 2023. Southern Miss, Marshall, UAB, Rice, UTEP, Houston, Memphis, East Carolina, Tulane, Tulsa, SMU, and Central Florida all supported the change. Martha Saunders wasn't on the floor advocating for ESPN. She wanted to double Southern Miss' money with Fox. Whether legal or not, it left ESPN execs feeling jilted and sour to Conference USA--enough to sue the league.

An article that Martha Saunders expressed positively of the change? Why would someone be so overwhelmingly positive about about such a change if that person didn't support it?

Again you're making baseless claims to which you have no clue as to what happened or back up.

Quit pretending Southern Miss has never done anything wrong. ESPN wouldn't have sued if everything was all hunky dory.

No amount of evidence would be good enough for you because you would always have an excuse for why Southern Miss was in the right.

So you don't have proof? Thanks for playing.

No amount of evidence would be good enough for you because you would always have an excuse for why Southern Miss was in the right.

It would help if you produced some first, but you haven't. A congrats to the conference means USM held the scissors why CUSA cut ties with the Mouse. Martha was the mastermind.

You don't have proof and you're showing how ignorant you are.
