Montana State struggled mightily against a truly awful Idaho team yesterday. It would be a upset IMO if they stroll into Washington-Grizzly Stadium next week and get a dub.

As far as seeding, will Villanova be seeded ahead of us? A good case could be made that they should be. I think we may be a 5th seed. I hope I’m wrong.

Brian McLaughlin thinks NDSU gets the 1 seed assuming they win out. I don’t see how Sam Houston doesn’t get the 1 spot.

Ndsu could lose 5 games and Brian would have them the 1 seed.

Fun fact: NDSU has 1 win over a team with a winning record this year. A home dub over missouri state by 7. And a loss to a 3 loss team that wasn’t close.

Jmu has a 1 point loss to a top 5 team.

Brian is usually pretty impartial IMHO. I feel like you’re thinking of Sam Herder.

It’s both of them. They are convinced the mvc is the sec and every team is so tough.

They dont watch caa games. Probably because it’s on Flo.
Villanova is better than any mvc team I’ve watched this year.

They watch espn+, mostly mvc games during day and big sky at night, and that is there perspective.

I’ve watched plenty of mvc games this year and absolutely nothing scary about any of them. Even ndsu, who can’t throw the ball at all. But they don’t have trey lance to bail them out this year.

I really hope we see Missouri state or southern Illinois in the playoffs so we can add another mvc notch to our belt.

They've consistently been much higher on the Big Sky than MVC this year. Both are holistically better than the CAA. I'll take the Dukes over any of em though.

I watched uc Davis and ewu yesterday and came away very unimpressed. Neither of those would beat us or villanova.

We smacked around Weber who beat ewu. Yes. I get the qb injury, but that would not have made much of a difference against us.

Big skys problem is too many teams that dont play each other. Lots of paper lions in tnere.

Mvc is just hyped because of ndsu. But again, weve lost to cas teams the last 5 years and have not lost to any mvc teams except the bison. But this isn't the bison of old. They are extremely beatable.

I agree, the Bison are not as strong as previous years and certainly beatable as SD State showed by beating them convincingly.
But JMU is not as string as previous years either.

This year’s playoff is wide open and I suspect more teams than ever have a legit shot to win it all.
Could we see another year like 2004 when unseeded JMU won 4 games on the road ?

Of the teams I’ve seen, SD State looks the best. I know they are 7-3 but a couple of the losses were fluky last minute. I would not want to play them. If you think about it, they probably would have won the title game in the Spring if their starting QB didn’t get hurt in the very first series. They ended up losing by 2 with a backup QB who had no game prep.
