Am I watching a high school football game? It’s so quiet. Also the production is straight up dogshit. The main camera at midfield makes me feel like I’m watching a game from 1950. And then when they switch to the endzone cams I’m now in sepia.

This game definitely made me more aware about the value of production quality. The feed from the endzone with the wrong white balancing bothered me the whole game -- and also the near black & white sideline feed. Oof

They should have embraced the lo-fi synthwave a e s t h e t i c the kids are all hepped up on and shot the thing to look like a poorly tracked VHS tape. At least then it would have been an artistic choice.

I was switching between this game and LSU/Bama, UT/UK, USF/UH, and Oregon/U-Dub. The drop in production quality was so pronounced from those 4 games to y’alls game. It was crazy.

We used to call that stadium the Erector Set. It was a dump when FIU was in the SBC and the stadium was still somewhat new. Looks like it’s still a dump now.
