McBride is clearly the best player on this team, what an incredible player. He's averaging 11ypc over the past 3 games and has 7 touchdowns to go with it. I've only been going to games since the return but I don't think I've seen anyone better suit up for UAB. At what point do we need to grow concerned about poaching? He still has another year before he can go pro.

that was sorta the unstated point of one of my questions on another thread. he's a BEAST!
why is he not the focal point of our offense?

unless there's something we cant see from the outside (and there very well might be) he's underutilized.
my fear is that he looks for an offense that will better utilize his talent

It’s crazy to even have to ask that question… Our offensive coaching has been awful. Our offense until this year would have featuredMcBride and ran him into the ground… I realize he had issues with tumbling early in the year, but he hasn’t fumbled in several games now. He needs to be the focal point of the offense, and it’s obvious to everyone except for the office of coaching staff apparently.

Or we can keep running tiny Jermaine Brown up the middle, misfiring on 50 yard passes every other play, and handing it off to Debo Only 10 to 12 times a game

Rewatched some of the beginning of the game. Boy Hopkins looked bad. That INT was under thrown by like 15 yards. I can’t believe If tj3 is healthy that He isn’t a better option than Hopkins

I think the 6 years TJ has been here has sorta left him beaten up. Hop has a hard time with deep balls but I wonder if some of that has to do not being a true pocket passer. He looks totally different moving his feet. The ball has more zip and he can put it in tight windows. He's faster than TJ and is more elusive at this point. I think they underutilize his mobility but that's probably more to do with protecting his body than any other issue.

After watching the beginning of the game, these penalties are an absolute embarrassment. The fact the coaching staff still blows them off, makes excuses, and doesn’t address it is a major red flag. Far and way our biggest issue and most of them are just bone headed dumb plays. Absolute insanity to me.

TJ3 would’ve hit the WR in stride. Everybody knows it.

The worst team we’ve lost to with TJ3 as the starter was against what would be a 9-4 WKU.

It is do or die from here on. Hope Hop can do it as TJ3 has been made the scapegoat to keep from having to fire a friend.

Hopkins was awful in the first half. The penalties and goof ups on our part were awful. The play calling was awful for the most part. We didn’t really give it to Debo until our 3rd or 4th possession. I’m shocked we came back and won that game. This coaching staff has a ton to improve on and im not seeing any changes.

Also, the crowd was pitiful. We’ve absolutely blown our debut season at protective.

People in this state know bad football when they see it. Don't expect to gain many casual fans with the current product on the field. Basketball has a lot more upside with Kennedy!
