Been to six of these places. All of them are adorable little places to visit for a few days.

This is fake news. Boone is full. It's also really run down with a lot of meth. It's also underwater most of the year. You have to travel through the Centralia coal fire to get there, it's an awful place, avoid it, don't ever move there especially. In fact that's how all of Southern Appalachia is. Blacksburg, TN Tri-Cities, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Greenville, Asheville.... they're all horrible places. Everybody should stay away. Especially people from NJ, OH, NY, and CA. You wouldn't like how we're all required by law to burn coal to heat our homes. It's just an awful place. Avoid it.

I guess that you have one of the now popular, "Boone Sucks" bumper stickers that are on cars all over town?

Unfortunately the secret is out on Boone. Can’t stop change but I hope it doesn’t become too popular.

Boone places just ahead of Breckenridge CO in the top 10 small towns for adventure. For all you people that claim Boone is just a small sleepy mountain town and not a destination, here is more evidence that you're simply wrong.

Breckenridge is fun but it costs all of the money to stay there during ski season (not cheap offseason either). I'll be in western NC next fall so I'm definitely planning on making a trip to check out Boone!

Who wouldn't like Boone? I have been blessed to have lived down the road in Cherokee County and have visited there over a couple of dozen times.

Fayetteville, WV on the list too. Awesome little town.
Hiking/Mountain Biking the New River, huge rock climbing area, local restaurants and breweries.

You’ve got a boatload (pun intended) of white water rafting companies all around with lodging, and activities. New River & Gauley River rafting/kayaking. Zip lining, New River Gorge bridge,
Bridge Day is a huge event with BASE jumping, repelling, Bungie, and a crap load of vendors lined up all the way up and down the shut down highway for the day.

Fun little drive from the Huntington/Charleston Metro valley up into the mountains getting there. Lots of fun twisties.

How often you make it to AVL? Next USA/App game you should try to make one of App alumni viewings. You'd probably end up getting many beers for free.

Have a bunch friends in Asheville, and a nephew that I play golf with at the Grove Park Inn. So quite often. Thanks for the invitation but won't be able to come up for this week's App -South game. Hope the Jags can at least give y'all a good game.
