Deion has said that Jackson State should be an FBS school. They have the attendance. Would they be a good add for C-USA? Or are they better off with their traditional SWAC rivals?

The latter. $8.3 Million budget with 47% subsidized from allocations. Might be too much for them.

If they can fund their program to be competitive against both the competition to join CUSA, and against the competition on the field, then they would be a good addition to CUSA. JSU would be in a position to do more for the HBCUs in CUSA than in the SWAC.

The budget would be a big concern for them but if they were able to swing it, they would be a great addition. Hard to see where the additional annual funding would come from.

They did have something like 53k for a recent home game but they will be an afterthought again once Deion is gone.

As someone who's lived near Jackson State all my life, absolutely not.

Their facilities would also need a major investment overall. The Vet is in tough shape.
