As good as they could hope for. Losing WKU & MT is a real kick in the balls now though as that still leaves them at 7. Missouri St would be the obvious choice but they were reportedly hesitant with WKU/MT so I can’t see them signing on without them.

I’m not sure how all the Troy fans feel but having Jax State as a FBS team who we can have H/H series with that’s local and will generate interest is good for the sport.

However that conference makeup is brutal and the strain on their budget could be tough. If WKU and MT remained that would be better for them.

Told Liberty fans they were kidding themselves if they thought they would turn down a conference invite.

If I were a betting man I would say one/both of EKU and Chatty are going to join as well. WKU and Empty Sue probably blocked those two from being invited, so once they're gone things can progress. I think they can get one more FCS call up as well. Now that things have stabilized I could see Mo State being interested again. Or just find the most desperate FCS team that wants to move up. At some point if survival is on the line, they can do a lot of things just to get to 8.

C-USA West: NMSU, UTEP, SHSU, MoSt, LT, Jax St
C-USA East: FIU, Liberty, EKU, UTC, UMASS*, UCONN*
Little Rock, UTA olympic only?

It survives..

Liberty has more baggage than the belly of a 747.

No thanks.

CUSA is now a glorified FCS conference. I don’t think SBC teams should schedule home-and-home deals with CUSA teams.

If everybody hates Liberty why does all of the Sun Belt keep taking their money? Fair question.

I disagree. Imagine if that’s how people treated us when we were the FCS call up conference. We had to add 2 new programs, 2 FCS callups, and a not long promoted Texas State, NMSU, and Idaho to survive the C-USA raids of 2012 and 2013.

Liberty didn't give us the cold shoulder several years ago. In fact, they begged and pleaded to get an invite. Jerry Falwell flew a private plane to each SBC member school and offered to pay 7 figure entrance fees and make 7 figure donations to each school's athletic department.

As one could guess, it turned everyone off.

Does anyone have any thoughts on NCA&T joining C-USA? Being THE FBS HBCU would be a huge selling point to recruits and viewers alike, I would think. They're the largest HBCU in the country, and they're growing in enrollment while most HBCU's are declining.

Worth a look, at least.

It’s a different situation, currently, P5 is trying to break away from the G5 and we should at least act like a legit FBS G5 conference, for strategic reasons. IMO CUSA is not an FBS conference anymore.

I thought it was funny.

Pretty good adds if this is true. That's a very reasonable lineup for CUSA to move on with.
