Now that the AAC strategically blocked the MWC out of the most desirable Texas DMAs.... Louisiana Tech and UTEP are the best possible options for the MWC.

The MWC is basically the conference that Louisiana Tech and UTEP belonged to before (when it was called the WAC), so there are ties there.
When Boise State leaves, the ONLY place the MWC can look to is NMSU/UTEP/LaTech, unless they want to try the Montanas.
So, IF La Tech and UTEP can present that case to Thompson, there is a case to be made.

La Tech and UTEP should offer to accept a much lower MWC share... (and if they have any compromising photos of their old friends WACives, now is the time to bust them out.)

OR... UTEP and LaTech should rejoin the new WAC.

Because the MW said no to expansion.

Once Boise abandons the MWAC and they are fighting for a new TV Deal (which will run out just as Boise leaves), I'm sure THAT will change.

In retrospect, Thompson should have tried to get a much longer media deal.

Boise's leaving will gut their TV prospects.

The MWAC will need LaTech and UTEP to try to beef up streaming CONTENT.

Getting cut out of Texas this expansion cycle really damaged the future prospects for the MWAC.

Maybe you should talk to the mwc commish. Apparently he's never listened to us. Do you have a direct line to his office?

I know I'm being sarcastic but it's not that easy when the commish is going, "la, la, la, la, la", when you're speaking.

We bugged the MW so much they had to publicly say "UTEP has no chance at the MW." Yikes, that's the equivalent of getting a restraining order on us.

Don’t get me wrong I’m in favor of adding UTEP and NMSU.
