Exclamation AQ Week Ten
Another fun week in the AQ7 (they all are fun, right?)

The biggest contest is likely EKU @ SFA. The Colonels have a shot at a playoff bid - a very good one - if they can win two out of the final three. They would secure the AQ bid for the AQ7 if they won all three (that includes defeating Sam Houston).

The other interesting matchup is Lamar @ Tarleton State. Tarleton put on a good showing against the Kats last week and this would be an opportunity for them to put their foot down against a very beatable Lamar program.

Saturday, November 6

Abilene Christian @ Jacksonville State
Eastern Kentucky @ Stephen F Austin
Texas Wesleyan @ Central Arkansas
Dixie State @ Sam Houston
Lamar @ Tarleton State

RE: AQ Week Ten
As a Lamar fan, If Chandler is not available at quarterback I give LU little to no chance. Dummett (predominately running qb) went out at the end of the first half with a wrist injury and Lamar played a true freshman the second half against EKU. A qb that is smaller than some freshman high school quarterbacks and didn't show great passing accuracy either.

Saw on Twitter, SHSU gave us high marks on game day presentation and overall quality of the non-football show. They said we were much better than anything they had experienced in the Southland. So it’s nice to know we are do8ng some good things with our presentation and marketing.

My question for Sam is why didn’t they bring their cheerleaders? It was a short bus ride.

RE: AQ Week Ten
It will be interesting to see how we do in the next 3 games starting with Lamar. We really need a few FCS wins this year. (Do not count Dixie for this scenario) I did not think we would beat SHSU but I was hoping for a respectable showing. I think on offense we did an ok job, the game plan was sound. We knew we were not going to run the ball against a stacked box so we threw all night. If we were more successful in the passing game we could have made it closer. But we got ran over on D all night long which has been the case pretty much all year against D1 competition. Lamar and ACU look as if they are having a pretty bad year so hopefully we can get the win against both. Cen Ark seems as if they are having a down year as well but I do not have a lot of confidence that we will beat them.

RE: AQ Week Ten
The positive of Sam's Front 7 shutting down our run game last week is it forced Tarleton to throw the ball around to ALL of our talented WRs, putting up over 400 yards of offense through the air. Already 2nd in the WAC rushing, we're finally getting the passing game living up to its potential. Should be firing on all cylinders tonight, which is a bad sign for Lamar's inaugural visit to Memorial Stadium.

Nice to see Dixie State getting attention for what they are growing through. Going to be a solid ballclub in the coming years
