Deven Wright, a 6’5” 220 DE from @MGCCCBulldogs, has committed to UAB! Wright has reported offers from Arkansas State, Charlotte, Kent State, MTSU, ODU, UAB & WKU. In 2021, Wright is credited with 29 tackles, 5.5 sacks, & 1 forced fumble in 8 games played. #BESTINBUSINE22

Should fit in well with the type of physical attributes that our defensive scheme is using these days. I like those tall, outside backers that have been causing havoc for the offenses we face.

So he's from Mississippi...we are hitting that state hard for recruits.

We do like those big bookends who can run.

In his first signing class in 2014, FBHC Clark signed four JUCO players from MS. He seems to like the way those schools' programs prepare their players. Will Deven Wright be in UAB for spring practice?

I have an honest question... How can you tell that the list is impressive?

The three DB's, Brown, Fountroy, and Martin are all 3* players. Perryman is also a 3* Juco RB. I know enough about Sivley at Helena to say that he can play. Deven Wright has a good frame and MS Juco has sent us some good defensive players over the years. Tuiono is 2* Juco that had some decent interest out of hs. Hard to say on the others.

Wright just backed off his commitment and reopened his recruitment.

That ain’t good when he actually had FBS interest and offers. Probably the gem of the class.

I mean, when the head coach’s wife posts that he’s looking to leave in the off-season, what do you expect
