JMU's Move & Effect on W&M
With JMU reportedly leaving the CAA for the Sun Belt, we've thrown together a quick synopsis & analysis article that wraps the major talking points all up in one place.

Curious to hear folks' thoughts here on CAA vs. SoCon...I'm leaning CAA right now (assuming the North / South split with the new schools goes through), but could be swayed to get on board with SoCon. In Brian Mann we trust!

Either way, check out the article below & LET'S GO TRIBE!

Doesn't appear to be anything to the "murmurs" of Elon and CofC returning to SoCon. Gotta love social media where anyone can say anything and others listen and react. Reminds me of those Northern based conference "murmurs"... what was that again?

JMU leaving might be as late as 2023.

If I were a W&M fan....I would absolutely want the SoCon or Patriot over a depleted and disheveled CAA.

RE: JMU's Move & Effect on W&M
If Elon and CofC stay, I think it's a no-brainer for W&M to stay, assuming the North / South reshuffling comes to fruition.

Truly think that travel costs are a huge area of concern for W&M; CAA South mitigates that (as does the SoCon in general).

Using the eye test, W&M certainly seems to fit better within the current list of CAA schools than it does with the current list of SoCon schools.

The tweet was from an Asst Coach at Carson Newman of all places and immediately debunked by the College of Charleston along with the media. I’m surprised the Blog didn’t catch that, it wasn’t hard to find.
