The Super League
With all of the hoopla over strength of schedule, the number of post season participants, talk of SEC bias, and concern over inclusion perhaps it is about time for something like this which would be established after a breakaway. This football league would form the basis for an expanded model involving basketball only schools during hoops season, or basketball first school inclusion with football at a lower division. All play would be internal the league. Some schools were selected as this best audience draw for their states, and yes, the SEC forms the nucleus because of recruiting emphasis, attendance and general competitiveness.
North: Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin
Atlantic: Clemson, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech
Southeast: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee
Southwest: Arkansas, Louisiana State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Texas, Texas A&M
Plains: Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma
Pacific: California, California Los Angeles, Southern Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Washington
12 regular season games with a preseason game against an old rival not in the Super League.
Six Division Champs and 2 At large form the playoffs.
