RE: CBS picks up Hawks v. Bill & the Virgin
The CAA is scheduled for 14 games so far on CBS Sports. There will be two wildcard games at the end of the season, plus the semi-final and the championship game in the CAA tourney.
But let's look at the 14 games scheduled. That is 28 spots. We get one game, while JMU gets four. Since this is pretty much the only national exposure we will get, that gives JMU a big recruiting advantage.

Completely hear you, but, let's turn it around and we will get more next year! We never seem to be in good shape when these type of opportunities arise

Really cool. Another way to not watch a UNCW game.

Remember when the CAA had a recurring nationally televised Saturday game on ESPN? Not the CAA championship game. That was fun.

I seriously doubt games on CBS Sports give anyone much advantage in recruiting. What percentage of households get CBS Sports. Can’t be much these days. Let’s be honest. This is not national exposure. Sure it beats flosports but I’d bet half of us die hards can’t even watch this game without some sort of intentional creativity.

I’m sure some of the folks have traditional cable/satellite packages but few and far between in my circles. Looks like $65ish a month would get you in the door for cbssports games via YouTube tv, fubo, or Hulu. I’ll pass.

Edit: I’ll follow along on our cheesy Twitter feeds #hawkyeah!!!

I’ve heard great things if that’s what you are shopping for. I use OTA with TabloTV so it really cuts my need for a large package (30-40 channels free). Besides I barely watch anything on TV besides Netflix, Prime, hbo. Usually alternate between Netflix and HBO and never carry both at the same time. I’m perplexed as to how people watch a fraction of the content they subscribe to. I do pay for espn+ for 3-4 months a year. 65 a month is not even close to worth it for me.

I hear you. My wife is driving my inability to cut. She watches a lot of the channels i haven't been able to find elsewhere. The great thing though, is there is no zip code handcuff like Hulu and others. So, we use it here at home in Durham, and can also use the same account for no additional cost in Wilmington when we go there.

Its amazing how many people don't take advantage of the flexibility of canceling.

I subscribed to Starz with a $3/month promo code because I wanted to watch that show they had called HEELS. After I finished the 8 episodes i canceled it. Watched what I wanted for $3.

I got a free 3 months of AppleTV. I used that to watch Ted Lasso and then canceled.

These services aren't lifetime commitments.
