Cajun Field will be reducing capacity. The projected total is between 34-36k, the final design has not been released yet. I just hope my seats are still available for purchase with the new upper deck.

I’d like to see a complete renovation in the lower bowl as well, but I didn’t win the lottery.

I couldn't find one of just our stadium, but here is a quick 2-3 minutes from our game vs Purdue a few years ago.

We are getting around a new 7500-8000 capacity facility for basketball. Hopefully by 2023 but certainly by 2024. The money has been approved and ground breaking should be in April of 2022

Yeah, but we really only have somewhere around 25,000 actual seats. The extra 5k seats are the grass.

Arkansas State started a trend with the waterfall. Central Oklahoma has included a waterfall in their stadium improvement plans.

I'm always amused by these "capacity" numbers schools toss out. While App can cram 31K inside the fences due to the bank and students packing out their sections KBS's actual seating is roughly 23,750. Georgia Southern lists 25K, but actual seating is somewhere around 21,000.

TXST is listed at 30k but four times we've held more than that.

Okay. Then I’ll go back to posting sports facts. Arkansas State hasn’t scored a home touchdown on Appalachian State since installing those waterfalls. Standup may be a tough business, but not as tough as y’all scoring a touchdown on our defense in Jonesboro.

Our record attendance was 41,357 in 2009 against Southern. Southern has some really great fans, always travels very well and they always put on the best 1/2 time show.

Marshall's record is 41,382 vs WVwho on September 10, 2010.

JMU needs to upgrade the visitors side. That is the side that will be shown on TV. Now that they will be on ESPN prime time it really needs to be done before 2023.

We all agree with you 100% on this point........ it does not show well for new SBC or JMU - and finishing the lower bowl will not be done by 2023. no chance

I'm really hoping that ESPN and SBC will strong arm this one... tell JMU that cameras are going on poles or on the visitor side, or roof of the building next door - but we MUST show off the new 2/3 of the stadium (announcers and cameras don't have to be on the same side.. )
