huskie chair story
Have this NIU tailgate chair. Has NIU on front and Huskie head on the back. Have been using it daily on the deck and the right armrest was hanging on by a thread. Called and took it into a canvas upolstery shop to get it patched and sewn up. The old man owner was looking it over to see if it could be fixed and give me an estimate. All of a sudden he noticed NIU and cursed and shouted "NIU cost me a $1000 this Saturday". Not wanting to be over charged I told him to blame the CMU long snapper. Said he had CMU without giving points and he thought he had a lock with the short field goal.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. Got fixed and it looks like new.

That's great!!!

We had a guy at work in Texas years ago was a bookie. We would bet NIU with him. I think NIU was 9-2 or something vs. spread. Eventually he was taking NIU. He would call me out of the blue once or twice a year thereafter in the Fall to ask if he should bet them that week.

Was in Atlanta last week, wore an NIU t-shirt around. Was hoping for a reaction from GT fans, didn't get any.

Maybe Dog Fan can go to that place when he needs to repair his NIU rain panchos.

Good idea. I often get holes in my ponchos because they are extremely tight on me. They are supposed to be one size fits most, but I am much bigger than the “most” category. I am about ready to hire my own poncho tailor to attend the games with me and service my poncho repair needs as they arise. I can’t get hot dogs and my ponchos are holey……and you think it’s easy being me??

Ha, thanks for sharing. NIU has been making a lot of the odds makers look silly this season.
