Liberty scandal
Being reported on Twitter by ProPublica that Liberty has been covering up and ignoring rape allegations on their campus.

I only post this because if true, there goes any chance of being in a conference. The focus of course should be on the victims, but Liberty was controversial before, and this will only cement their fate.

You think this hasnt happened at any of the schools that were added and has been forgotten? Specifically a football program.

I can answer for you. It has.

That's b/c we continue to lump all the AAC threads into 2 or 3 giant ones that last for years.

RE: Liberty scandal
This is why nobody wants Liberty, I know people will point to other awful scandals at other schools but just because other schools have done awful things doesn’t mean we should defend Liberty

I read one article about it, and to clarify, all the rape allegations in that article happened at off campus parties with lots of alcohol. The women then filed on campus but were reminded that they could still face disciplinary action from the school for breaking the Code of conduct (for alcohol consumption, darn Baptists). In other words, they had to admit guilt in their complaint. Some chose to not do that.

I wondered why the women didn’t press actual charges with the local police. That would have been much more effective.
