But we're in good shape, the 80% has things like the MRDs (band) and buildings that have been long 'hidden' in the athletics budget that can be excluded for the Cox Law purposes. The added distribution from CPF, bowls and the TV money will help offset it as well.

Heh! Well you know how it is with any public institution the numbers are manipulated 100 ways by the accountants depending on what story they want to tell that week. If any thing the VA schools based on legal requirements are more transparent about the in and outflows of money than a lot of schools across the country.

Our BOV has been put on notice to expect an emergency meeting. The Cox Bill mandates that the review committee would then have 2 days to review our plans. Could happen much more rapidly than 2 weeks.

I think it's just a terminology thing. Unscheduled seem to be more accurate than emergency.

I do wish the Sun Belt had been able to announce press conferences all at the same time so that every doubt would be removed that all four are coming in, but it'll happen when it happens.

Very pleased to welcome a proud program into the conference. What a statement by the Sun Belt on how far the conference has come since 2001, and since losing five schools 8 or 9 years ago.

Yeah I think Idaho and NMSU had something to do with that reticence. Nothing against them per se, just the travel for Olympic sports.
