Miles Joiner TD called back
Did anyone catch where and who committed the holding penalty that negated a great playcall and Joiner's TD? The refs said #7 but did they mean #70 Cox who was blocking downfield? If so, that was a bad call as he had the defender in front of him.

It was a misreably bad day by the refs. An offensive lineman crushing a small db is not holding. 03-banghead
I felt they didn't want to call holding penalites on the Olines either.

But they got NIU's sideline penalty correct at the end of the game. 04-rock

I'm legitimately sure that neither ref behind the offense even had flags with them. In the trenches it was anything goes all day. They could have pulled a shank and started knifing dudes. It went both ways, though I thought that CMU was definitely the ones that were taking more blatant advantage of it. But hey, if they aren't gonna call it....

The holding on Cox on that TD was bad, but it ended up working in our favor as we still scored, but with much less time on the clock.

My reaction at the end of the game was the same as Hammock's...Freaking the F out, until they said NIU ball, then it was all good call as many dead ball penalties as you want we just won!!

Another major obstacle that the Huskies overcame.

Miles Joiner TD called back
Yeah the refs we all about explaining the stupid penalties and Hammock just wanted to know the lead story, did we get the ball and win the game? The rest was meaningless.

That was a nonsense holding call! Totally soft call. Incredible run by Joiner. Feel bad for him that it got called back.

Joiner is a beast. We've got three good TEs. I'd love to see us use all three on first and second down sets. Use a spread formation to open up the running lanes and just destroy the defenses. We can easily throw off that formation since they are good receivers as well. But of course we have to get the ball to Richie, Rudolph and let the RBs eat. The sky is the limit for this offense. Rocky has to step up and become a consistent thrower. Yesterday was a great start.

What we have at wr and in Joiner is why I’ve been crapping all over a Rocky up til yesterday. Maybe some on Eidsness too. IMO Richie is the best player on the team and Rudolph is the biggest threat. I appreciate the toughness aspect of run first, but damn, you have some absolute monsters at wr and we were letting them shrivel up and die out there. I’m not sure we as fans even appreciate Richie enough. Give him a real good passing QB/offense and his numbers would be astronomical. His ran after catch is as good as any of the RBs. I’m just a big Richie supporter and I hope he gets his share of touches going forward. Big confidence game yesterday for Rocky, the passing game AND the fans. Let’s keep it rolling now.

Agree Richie is the best player on the team. Would not be surprised to see him drafted in the third-fourth round of the draft, depending on his 40 time. He’d be a fantastic slot in the NFL…

Joiner will get drafted when his career is over at NIU. He plays the Tight end position effortlessly. Just needs to stay healthy.

I do not understand why they were using Rudolph so little earlier in the year. I bet he played 50% of offensive snaps at most the first month of the year. He's going to be a star.

Rudolph looks like he’s playing 25% faster than everyone else on the field. If I had to take a guess at his lack of reps earlier this season I’d say it’s because they expanded his role. Somewhere Hammock said he had a very limited playbook last year. Just the slot. This year he is lining up everywhere. So maybe he was messing up some in practice. Idk.

RE: Miles Joiner TD called back
I noticed Rudolph was on the sideline a few plays during the Huskies final drive. I am assuming they had their better run-blocking WRs on the field, but I was still surprised. He was their most dynamic player that day and he was on the sideline when it counted most.

He did make the most important play in the last drive…
