Freshman kicks three FG’s with the last one for the win. Onions.

RE: ONIONS
Hammock and his staff have all his players prepared so when one player is out they just plug in another freshman and keep going!

He was one of the MVPs today. Pretty clutch.

Pretty unreal.
When I and a few others said "late fg to win" I don't think we had this is mind!
Next man up!!!

Loved the scene on the sidelines of Hammock and players not able to watch. I was the same way in my living room.

Glad I wasn't the only one.
The kicker doesn't look old enough to drive, and he was clutch.
Any info on Richardson? The commentators said that it wasn't disciplinary, don't know how accurate that is.
There certainly is more depth than previous years.

COVID related, I believe. But that's mostly speculation by me.

Let's hope that's all it is. He should have a quick recovery, and NIU doesn't play again until Nov. 3. against Kent.
Hopefully Brown will be back, maybe even Waylee.

If Waylee is back what do the coaches do? While there may be some truth to not losing your spot due to injury, how do you sit down Ducker (or at least dramatically reduce his carries) after the least 2 games? A good problem to have - not enough ball for our RBs.

Go back to the run game. Rocky did pretty well today, but the less he has to pas the better. Besides, the weather will probably stink for the remainder of the season so the less passing the better.
Ducker is a beast. I think Brown was suited up, did Ducker get the spot over him?

RE: ONIONS
If Waylee comes back this year, there will be plenty of carries to split with Ducker. The Huskies are averaging 47 rushes a game. Waylee and Ducker could each get 20 carries with a few to spare.

We just need to play 2 or 3 RBs at a time. Problem solved!!

RE: ONIONS
Waylee, Ducker and Brown can all coexist. NIU runs the ball a ton. They could each get 20, 16 and 10 carries each (hypothetical) and that will help keep them fresh and running extremely hard. It's a good problem to have. Brown was running the ball really well before he was taken out against Bowling Green. he was dressed today but didn't get any touches. Hopefully he's back in the mix as I think he complements Ducker well.

They also want to get Blackmore a few carry’s. There’s four guys I won’t be surprised if two transfer after this season.

Now stop that transfer talk. These guys are playing hard and winning. No need for them to leave. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
