Not sure, but I suspect many will visit here regularly. Having an active conference board is new for us, especially one that engages in tomfoolery. For the most part we'd either interact with rivals visiting our board or to a lesser degree visit theirs.

The joy for you all is having direct access to the JMU sh1t show for kicks and giggles, though I'd recommend viewing in limited doses to mitigate the effects our psychosis may have on your wellbeing.

As long as you guys aren't what the disaster we lovingly call the Memphis board is, we're good.

That place is insane...

Yep, it’s been 10+ years of that thread in various sites/forms.

Because that’s how long we’ve been involved in discussions about moving up.

Weve turned down offers, had others fall apart due to circumstances out of out control, but have now finally received an offer that absolutely fits the school and profile.

And as you can see, 99% of us JMu fans couldn’t be happier how it turned out.

The two year transition period for football will be a long 2 years while we wait to be full members,

I believe the wait in other sports is only a year, or less if it can be worked out with all parties (school and conferences)

I have been going over a lot less than I used to. It seems these days to be nothing but old curmudgeons complaining about student behavior and calling for the coach to be fired after every loss.

Activity seems to have dropped way off too.

ASM is definitely better. The site doesn’t crash 40x during the game either.

Marshall and USM have two of the most active presences on the C-USA board here, so I imagine more and more of those will post here. Right now we are all split between the current season and the future.

I'm Golden Eagle Pride man myself, but Big Gold Nation is another active USM board over on Rivals.

Both our 247 and Rivals boards are run by people who are running those for a living, so getting people onto the paid board keeps food on their plates. The free boards have little to no moderation and turn to trash quickly, so people don't post there. The free way to talk USM sports is the Facebook group Eagle Post. It can be toxic and has our least informed fans, but I like having it on my Feed. Aslo highly recommend USMVoice on Twitter. He's just a fan, but he pushes out more rah-rah stuff than our entire athletic department.
