okay 5.5- 6mil reducation would still e more than 600-1.2mil the sunbelt would get

IF memphis and smu left the aac would raid the sunbelt, making ecu dumb decison look even more terrible

Okay maybe a 5 to 6 million reduction after Houston and SMU leave. Let's say the Sun Belt makes $1.2million per team which sounds about right now you have to factor in the renegotiation with ESPN having Marshall Southern Miss Old Dominion and James Madison. That'll put the Sun Belt right around $2 million per team

i already accounted for that, according to cbs the sunbelt currently makes 500k from its tv deal, identical to c-usa
my 600k-1.2mil was guestimating your new payout

You're looking at old numbers... The new TV deal pays Sun Belt schools $1.3 million per team. That's going to be up around $2 million soon

https://247sports.com/college/georgia-st...173428537/

that guy is not credible at all...
he says the sunbelt is making 1.3mil and said he got that number from FOIA of by ULALA's beat writer in an article. i flat asked him to a few days ago to link that article, that the numbers dont make sense... that i think he might be mistakem and confused full money from "all media" (incuding radio, advertisers), and just the "TV deal"...he never responded, i googled for this Louisana article myself and never found it

also noting he say adamant te mwc makes more money than the AAC which he states numeours times in the comment section..which is just wrong ..

cbs sources says it 500k

Here's the Sun Belt's taxes from 2019: https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofi...05742/full

Page 9, TV & Radio revenue: $3,920,523

Let's not even include UTA & UALR and divide by 10.

That's $392,052 per team. Less with UTA & UALR shares taken out.

That $1.4 mil?

Pages 34-39, the total the conference paid to each team, which includes NCAA tournament & CFP revenue, bowl game ticket revenue, sponsorship income, conference tournament revenue, etc.

But please continue to tell us about all that Sun Belt television $$$.

you just stated why i asked that writer of that article 3 days ago..

the deal was signed in 2019 from 500k.....in 2020 the deal was reworkeded.. the press release just stated it increased the number of televised games and stated nothing about morem oney (from 10 televised games to 15)

there is a chance the money was increased but 500k to 1.4mil in a 1year renegotiation (on a 12 years deal) with the exact same members is nuts and not realistic.. i asked him for proof (the basis of his entire claim is a supposed ULALA article he wont point to, and cant be found via search)

the cbs article THIS morning says the sunbelt and C-usa make the same amount of money (c-usa makes 500k)

the guy who wrote that article isnt remotely credible, and a homer...he wouldn't respond to my questions about his sources, but in the comment he like 4 times sai the MWC is going to make way more money than the AAC..

i said that isnt true, and show him quotes from the MWC commish, csu's AD, AF's AD, Pete Thamel (yahoo), ralph derusso (AP).. all stating the aac will definitely be making more money than the MWC.. he keeps stating they are wrong ...(note he has no credentials what so ever)

this guy is a homer that is trying to make ga state look like they are in a good situation for not being invited to the aac, by overstating how much the Sunbelt is making and underselling how much the AAC is making

a southern miss source is reporting to sports illustrated that c-usa and sunbelt pay the exact same amount... but that southern miss will save 400k in travel expenses
