Two great nationally broadcasted games on ESPN two nights in roll. CUSA hasn't had one of those games in 8 seasons. Not only were they great games to watch, we put on a show for future recruits. The Belt is mention all the time by ESPN in a positive way. You never here anything about CUSA. I watch every Belt game on ESPN. Marshall and company can have the same exposure under our new contract stating more games will be on ESPN starting next season. Come on over guys and get your name out there.

Not to mention the more teams the less likely you play a week night game that isn’t Thursday.

Another would be the Marshall App State game on Thurs. Sept 23 that drew 1.09 million, going up against the Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers.

Yeap. And very soon that will be a conference game with even more on the line.

I am of the opinion that no one knows what Marshall is going to do other than a VERY small group of people. Anything you read on message boards better me taken lightly, because our administration is pretty much on lock down mode right now.

Split the conference to Appalachian and southwest.

Add WKU and MTSU along with the Georgia schools.

Southwest adds La Tech NMSU and UTEP.

Everyone sings kumbaya.

Nmsu and utep, you’ll never sell . . too far outside the footprint, so again ain’t happening

Having flipped back and forth last night between CUSA game and SBC game I have to say the difference is striking. SB teams were better coached and better athletes. Its going to takes us a while to get up to speed with the increase in competition but that’s exactly what we need.

I’m so ready to make the jump.

And I’ve got my first idea for Sun Belt/ESPN.

Take those weekday Sun Belt games and make Friday their night. Market it as “Fun Belt Friday”

You could do the same thing with 1-2 hoops games.

Add to the fact stAte has some of the worst talent on defense that we've had in a while. We have no depth at all and out LBs and DBs are under sized and slow. In this conference you will need to be great on both the offense and defensive lines. The Belt has some big boys on the lines. A quality RB with strength and speed is a must along with a great QB. Better be ready to defend the pass also. Some of our teams can sling the ball all over the field. Like I said before. The line play is most important. Don't come in here with tiny lines thinking your gonna win games.

Marshall needs to realize the leverage USM and MU add to the SB and trust that in short time that leverage provides opportunities that have yet to reveal themselves. Stop being shot sited and get on the bus.

Agreed. But if you get Mike Tyson to do a VoiceOver for us, we can call it "Thunbelt Thursday"...
