Just thought of this...Coach Byington with JMU will be coaching against us now in MBB. I'd imagine he would get an honestly warm welcome in his first game back. Really great guy.

Now we just need to hurry up and get this new basketball arena built.

Nope, GS calls dibs. Send the Golden Eagles to da Boro to face the Bald Ealges.

C’mon man, they still owe us a home game!

Here’s the deal if our conference mates agree, we’ll play for the right this Thanksgiving weekend. Winner gets USM at home first. Deal?

I have long been of the opinion that 9 is the perfect number for a conference - but that ship sailed long ago.

In a vacuum, yes. But with enough to have a CCG, that can bring in more money and get more exposure. Also, when vying for conference superiority, more teams gives higher chances of having ranked/multiple ranked teams and can also avoid the top teams from beating each other up with more losses when the top teams from each division will often not play the other in regular season.
And there is the fun of cheering on not only your conference in OOC games but your Division teams is intra-division games. Gulf crushes Atlantic!

This is fair.
