...ICB, Not (really) on-topic, but is it ok if I use the 'UAB with the AAC logo' on other areas? if not, cool - thanks either way!

Yes… have at it! If you use it on Twitter… pls give me a shout out @1_Blazernation once.

awesome! I'm not a twitterer 03-old, but if I somehow find myself there, will do! Thanks again! 04-rock

RE: New AAC map
So are we guessing 8 conference games with one regular cross division rival and one alternating?

Also, I’m hoping this means less UGA, OSU games and more MSU, GT, UNC types. Good teams decent payouts, no body bags

yep... more ACC teams... I'd like to get a H&H with the hokies, as we owe them a couple of whuppins... 04-chairshot

But the KEY is "teams we can get H&Hs with"...heck, Watson pulled in a handful of 'P5' (...P6? guess we gotta start thinking about that now... 04-rock04-rock04-rock ) teams to LF for games, including the aforementioned Hokies... also Pitt, Kansas, MissSt, etc. were homes for us... I think Clark, and the new digs (stadium AND AAC), should make for better negotiations for some of these games... 02-13-banana

No offense intended, but Clark dislikes the body bag games as much as we do, but they balance the books so Ingram (or whomever is AD) has to have 1 per year. He wanted 2 annually when he arrived if I remember correctly.

If you were Ga Tech or UNC would you want to come to Bham with our progress on the field and a new stadium? Hell no. That may change but we've got more guaranteed quality games in the new league like Memphis.

UAB should use some of the increase revenue to offset the body bag games. The last one is currently scheduled for 2024. We can have buy games, but let's get games we have a shot at winning. That's how you ultimately take the next step.

This. Absolutely. Please let the team take $500k less to play Illinois or someone.

Why in the world would a team that could beat our ass, like Clemson or Oklahoma pay to come here? They either need a buy game to get their practice session in or at least 2 for 1 and the latter is rare. Typically G5 foe, too. To keep it in perspective, would we pay Texas St. to play in their stadium? Knowing where we'll be will, I think, open some options that we haven't had until now.

Where did I indicate this? I only indicated less of the Georgias and more of Miss States/Vandy

Yep less of the NFL types and more of the Indiana's, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, G Tech, and Vanderbilt types.

RE: New AAC map
We play the games for a (HUGE!!) bump to our revenue. Wouldn’t necessarily play them, but wouldn’t NEED them like we do now. The mid-tier P5 teams don’t pay as much so why not get the big check @Clemson. The profile of h&h or 2v1 is that we don’t, yet, make enough money playing home date. Top-level P5 sacrifices are just necessary right now.
