RE: Men’s Head Basketball Coach Possibilities
I believe that Fly has another year on his original three year deal. He has one more year to get it turned around.

Kennedy at NJIT may be on the hotseat given their poor showing of late.

Jasick (Jacksonville) has three years left on his deal so he has at least two years left to show some improvement.

Driscoll (UNF) just got an extension and is not going anywhere IMO. Although things could change when (it should be soon) Moon the AD retires

Everyone else is relatively new or having success, so I do not see much movement.

RE: Men’s Head Basketball Coach Possibilities
Inexplicably Penn State seems to be a hard place to win at (786-791 since 1969). So, winning 26 games in 2017-18 & 21 games in a Covid shortened 2019-20 seems impressive to me. He got fired after the 2019-20 season, which was odd. Perhaps because his best Big 10 finish was 5th (2020). His record at Boston U was very good (42-28). His experience is Northeast centric so recruiting players to Snowbird City shouldn't be a problem. Getting players was never an issue for Fly. FGCU has a nice campus, a very good following, and a very good basketball facility. I think that he will be a good fit and FGCU will be a perennial Top 4 ASUN team under him.

He wasn't fired because of his record lol. I think it's a terrific hire assuming the noose comment doesn't hurt his recruiting. It really doesn't sound like it was meant racially, and as long as kids see it that way he's gonna be a great hire someone poaches away from fgcu quickly. But there is a chance kids see the comment a type of way and he can't recruit.

I'm not aware of "Noose" comment.

If he can recruit in the south after that, he's gonna be a terrific hire. I think it was just a poor choice of words where he didn't think of all the dynamics at play. But who knows how that will impact his recruiting, especially in the south.

He was also suspended for shoving a player before the noose comment.
