Had a great time with a large group of UCF fans at Macs after the game. They represented well.

The ones I met as well. And from what I've seen poat game, their fans said UC fans were great in person. Sounds like both fanbases may have some crappy Twitter fans.

Cincy is just a beast right now. IF the powers that be give them a chance and don't shut them out - if they finish this off - I think they are capable of winning the National Title.
That would be fun to see, a G5 (for now) winning the title.

They'll find some excuse to say that Cincy "just doesn't meet the eye test", as usual. The P5 Invitational Championship is not for G5 peasants like us.

Congrats to UC for a big win on ABC national TV! This should guarantee the Bearcats a #2 ranking in the polls this week.

There are crappy, sarcastic, arrogant fans of all sports in Twitter-world.
I think the vast majority of the fans on this board, despite their obvious loyalty to their specific team, have the decency to give credit to the winner when it is due.
All UC can do is play the next game in front of them. If UC finishes 13-0 with the AAC Championship and the CFP committee actually denies the # 2 ranked and undefeated team a CFP slot, then that is undeniable proof the CFP is intended only for Cartel/P5 teams.
I would then urge the CFP administrators to be up front about that by openly announcing it. Then quit including any non P5 teams in the CFP ranking going forward.

UCF is really shiting the bed this year. And they were lucky to beat Boise and ECU to boot.
If USF wasn't even worse, I'd be cackling about it, LOL.

Just another Uc fan that wants to pay my respect to the previous Ucf teams. No doubt, they put any and all G5s in this position.

ESPN busy trying to convince viewers UC just really isn't that good. I just know they went to South Bent and dominated the haughty Irish in their crib and are laying waste to the AAC opponents.
Disgusting isn't it. The #1 team in the country eeked out a win over UC last year and nobody questions them struggling against Kentucky yesterday. They're scared to death UC could end up #1 before the season ends. Cincy could play with anyone this year. They're that good.

Truth. Cinci is deserving, but "deserves got nothing to do with it".

The thing is Cincy does pass the eye test. With complete candor, only Georgia looks better to me.

I agree that Georgia is the better team with the eye test, but one thing that is often lost among the national media is that 18 out of 22 players who started for Georgia in the Peach Bowl last year returned. I think all but one or two of those 18 are starting now, with the others on the 2nd string.
Both teams were missing several starters from the 2020 season, but Cincinnati was in control of the game until James Hudson was ejected, forcing us to play mistake-prone and overmatched Lorenz Metz at left tackle in the 2nd half (we've since moved him inside to guard and he's actually been really good there filling in for Vince McConnell, who has been out with Mono). Not having the offensive line depth to adjust is one disadvantage we still have compared to a Georgia or Alabama -- we're deep, but not as deep as teams who have been recruiting at a top 5 level for the past decade.
Still, it took a last-second field goal after some questionable decision-making on Fickell's part for Georgia to win that game. Georgia absolutely deserves to be #1, but last year's Peach Bowl and the Notre Dame game this year proves that Cincinnati can play with anyone IMO. That's why Cincinnati legitimately deserves to be in the CFP if they win out.
