At the risk of sounding like an apologist, I’m not certain yet if it’s Coaching . . or a team that just hasn’t learned yet how to win/close out.
When Withers was the Coach, and we’d go down at the half by 10 or more, you could confidently say “Good night Gracie,” cause his teams weren’t coming back . . . they couldn’t score in a whorehouse. The only good thing we fielded in those days was a D.
So Jake comes in and the whole thing is a mess, especially the O. I do think he’s upgraded the talent, our O on average scores more points than it did under Withers. Our only wins this season are in OT, and yesterday Is the first time we’ve gone into the 4th with a lead in I don’t know how long. There is overall improvement in the program. Our QB wants to win so badly, that rather than take what’s given, he chooses to “force things,” and subsequently turns the ball over (which was the case yesterday).
At this point, I don’t know if we’re a season, and a few recruits away from meaningful change, or a new Coach and another round of rebuilding. It’s frustrating as hell.

You won't have to rebuild with a new coach. Yall clearly have talent already on the team it's just not being utilized the right way. stAte has talent also but Jones has chose to focus on a complete rebuild than a win right now attitude.

RE: Return of the Ole West
Fun fact: 2015was the last time a team not currently in the East has won outright or a co-championship in the SBC.
2015 Ark State were champs.
