At one time that may have been true but last week the Boise TV ratings showed that ONLY 197, 000 watched their game. They have been down most of their games this year. Also they have not been winning this year. Every program has occasional bad seasons however they have a new coach (from Auburn in the SEC} and more was expected from him. He did not recruit well his first year.
There are other posable teams both in and out of the P5 who might be willing to come and might be better partners.
If you check the MWC board you will see that a great deal of negative chatter is thrown at Boise by other MWC posters because Boise always wants special privilege and more money than the rest of the league. I honestly don't think we need that kind of member.
They are sort of like the worst of Texas but much more so in this regard and they contribute much less to the conference.

Before you expand any further perhaps the B12 should wait and see what happens to the ACC. Should FSU & Clemson jump ship a few others could land in the B12. (Miami, Louisville, Pitt & Syracuse)

To me adding team and in NW is a hard sell when it comes to non-revenue sports. The more distance you add, the higher the travel costs. If they could be added for Football only, that makes more sense.

Miami and Louisville to the Big12 will be sexy... As for Pitt and Syracuse however not so much.
My reasoning is because Syracuse’s backbone is definitely basketball as for Pitt they seem to flip flop back and forth so you really can’t tell their flavor commitment to either sport.

That was a noon game on FS1.
Previous weeks ratings were
week 1 vs UCF(9pm start due to bad weather) 841K viewers
week 2 vs UTEP FS1 at 9pm 347K viewers (not the numbers wanted but really bad opponent)
week 3 vs OSU FS1 at 9pm 596K viewers (wanted to see better numbers but for FS1 this late is pretty good).
week 4 vs Utah St 12pm CBS 804K viewers
This week vs BYU 2:30 on ABC should be solid numbers and will be a game I am interested to see come out.

This is the first I've heard of the ACC being unstable.
If Tobacco road stays together, and only FSU and Clemson bolt (BTW, B1G or SEC?), wouldn't the ACC being the one potentially picking off some B12 teams?

I’d love to get the Ohio River schools back together-Louisville, UC, WVU and Pitt. That quadrant pretty much carried the 2005-2012 Big East. Pitt fans will tell everyone they are better than the other three and should be playing schools like BC, Notre Dame, Penn State and Maryland; but they are more like the former group than the later.

The big 12 should be fairly stable by 25

I was talking about more towards 2035, the end of the GOR. I wouldn’t be surprised if FSU & Clemson are looking at $ in the B1G & SEC.

I don't want to go to 16, so I'd be good with Louisville and Memphis as #13 and #14.

I don't see how those schools that can jump to the SEC or B1G wait until 2035. If OU & UT can negotiate a settlement from the GOR's(even though its a lesser time) I would think so can those schools.

The B12 does better on its tv ratings of games in conference than the ACC does. If you remove Clemson & FSU and their OOC matchups. The B12 would be a lot higher tv ratings than ACC minus FSU & Clemson.
For instance this Saturday BYU vs BSU did 2.24M viewers which was real solid.
