And there is one category that really just illustrates what a joke this is. It's brand perception. UNT, Rice, and Charlotte as the top 3?? I'm sorry but that's just laughable. And Charlotte that just started playing football? Come on.
This one category alone invalidates taking this thing seriously.
Brand perception is an area where UNT should stack up well. UNT ranks first in the conference in marketing revenue. So, UNT actually earns the most money from our brand licensing.
What's marketing revenue and where did you get that stat from?
Is that the same as rights/licensing?
Yes. My apologies. I'm fighting COVID right now and not making too much sense. It's a bit of a struggle for me. Here are my numbers from back when I was think clearly...
2018-19 Licensing Ranking for C-USA
1. North Texas $6,022,983
2. Marshall $5,761,573
3. UTSA $5,719,381
4. MTSA $5,566,075
5. UTEP $5,536,559
6. ODU $5,326,018
7. Southern Miss $4,838,256
8. WKU $4,551,831
9. UAB $4,284,701
10. Charlotte $4,030,682
11. FAU $3,690,328
12. FIU $3,680,136
13. LA Tech $2,936,304
Rice NA
I see. Wishing youa safe and fast recovery. It's interesting that in 2018-2019 UNT experienced a successful period in football. They won 9 in games in 17 and another 9 in 18. We won one game in those two years and still managed to be in the top 5.
Latest number from 2020 now show the top five as
1. ODU $5,326,019
2. Marshall $5,300,551
3. UNT $5,139,367
4. UTSA $5,116,623
5. UTEP $4,796,570
Looks like we're a consistent top five team despite our awful performance the last five years. I'm interested to see where we would rank once we achieve good results in football. Also interesting that ODU didn't even play football in 2020 and finished as #1.

It’s kinda sad how much our non revenue sports have fallen. The only quality program we have left there is Men’s Golf.

I dunno, UNT placing first in surfing and second in ocean access seems a bit off, but I guess I’m not an expert in the field

Yes. There’s definite recent bias and likely some geographical bias. It’s a poll.

What I take from this, if you believe these rankings to be legit, that the higher ranked schools have most potential, then UNT and CLT should fire their AD immediately and La Tech and WKU should give their ADs raises immediately.

RE: C-USA Power Index
I spent 4 days in the hospital, but don't remember too much about it. I was in bad shape. Apparently, I was about 15 pounds under my normal weight when I got there. The doctor and nurses were great. They kept pumping fluids and medicine into my IVs (I had an IV in each arm). They really took good care of me. But, I'm glad to be back home with my wife and taking a few prescriptions. Things are looking up now. I got an appointment with my primary doctor next week. Until then, I'm just resting and recovering.
Take care. I pray none of you have to go through this.

You better check again.
In 2020, contributions to FAU Athletics were $6,073,308
For comparison, contributions to UNT athletics were: $2,344,661
In the OP source, FAU is placed 8th in this criteria and UNT - 1st.

And FAU’s about $2M short of what ODU brought in.

Which is strange, because the other thread here today had the stats saying that FAU was 1st. But, regardless, the OP suggests that FAU is actually 8th.
