IS THE OLE MISS GAME A MUST WIN?
We do not not need to win this game, but what matters is how we play. If you go in there and give them a fight, people will notice and begin to take us even more serious. Go and read the other boards, A lot of individuals still do not give Liberty credit.

There might be a small chance that Gameday shows up too. Was looking at the games on that weekend and there is not a single rank game. Maybe dreams do come true.

Gameday could happen but I could also see them doing an FCS game that week too. NDSU vs SDSU could be a spot. In terms of respect I think it is a must win. Close wins mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Why is it a must win? I think Coach Freeze circled this game since the time it was announced/he was hired whether he admits it or not. I expect us to punch up due to the emotions but I don't expect a win. I would like to see Willis out duel Coral and be the top QB draft pick in 2022.

I 50% agree with you, but don't you think if Ole Miss keeps winning and enters that game 8-1, Rank in the top 10, and we go in there and punch them in the mouth in game that ends - 38-35. I mean that would be a huge perception win.

HC could tell recruits, "If we had you, we would have won that game."

Maybe it’s a difference of opinions but morale wins aren’t real IMO. If App would have kept it close with Michigan nobody would know who they are. Winning is the key and if you want to change the perception winning at Ole Miss would go a long way. Honestly I think the Syracuse lose is gonna hurt all season. If it wasn’t for that Liberty would be ranked. You can’t lose to a bottom feeder P5 and expect other people to take you seriously. It is what it is. Wins are all that matter. Look at CCU, I don’t believe they are the 15th best team but they have won all of their games.

It's only a "must win" in terms of being taken seriously on a national level. The loss to Syracuse has already weakened this season's perception of Liberty as a relevant team....and I mean nationally in terms of relevance. Liberty could lose this game and still have a nice 9-3 season (or something like that) but winning this game and all other's are very much needed. Has anyone noticed how the AP has zero votes for Liberty since the Syracuse loss even thought Liberty has handily won two games since? I'm not saying this is fair but perception sometimes substitutes for reality in the minds of others. Win against Ole Miss and Liberty has the "Must Win" game in it's possession to be nationally relevant (also have to run the table in all other games).
