The one thing I dont do is "try" when I post I know the FACTS before getting into it. Do you know the definition of attendance? It has nothing to do with tickets sold or make believe numbers.
I can show with facts Western is usually at the top 3 of CUSA in asses in seats. Which is the definition of attendance. Of course you will still go with your "FEELINGS" that's all you have
Easy for that Texas high school sized stadium to look full isn’t it
Uh, you don’t know much about Texas do ya?
I do. Thats exactly why I referenced Texas because the similarities. That’s actually about half the size of WKU’s stadium tho. Hoover High in suburban Birmingham plays in a roughly 10k seat stadium too (Hoover Met.) Was just making a joke that their stadium would be more Texas high school scale instead of apparently some university attendance juggernaut

No you aren't. We can look at the reported attendance and prove otherwise
Going by a report in the Wall Street journal those numbers are fudge by CUSA schools anywhere from 30 to 70% vs "attendance" butts in seats/scanned tickets.
Just because your AD or asst AD reports a number doesnt make it true. But you love living in make believe land and it shows in 100s of your post over the past few weeks.
Not only the Wall Street journal but a couple other reports from CUSA schools they sent into the NCAA. You can make up any number you want for a box score but when reporting attendance directly to the NCAA those numbers better match what the figures show
When the Wall Street journal did their open record request for all FBS schools it showed just how many schools were making up numbers.

Holy cow. As bad as we are and we lead the conference in attendance. A strong and large fan base with deep history can do that I guess. Hope it can somehow continue until we turn things around.
And look how pathetic and sad west kentucky is. Thats terrible. Easy to see why no one knows who they are nationally and no other conference wants them. Nice job, UAB and Marshall. Glad to see you're doing your part.

Not surprised that So Miss/UAB/Marshall have the biggest fan bases. There's a reason we were in CUSA before the others.
I'm monitoring ticketmaster and it looks like we might have a good crowd on Saturday. As of a few minutes ago there are only 18,790 tickets available for purchase.

UTEP is the sleeping giant. I remember when you all first joined CUSA and you were AVERAGING over 40k/game.

If you look at the wide angle shot during the coin toss 2 minutes before the game start you'd have to round up to say the stadium (36K capacity) was one-third full. I don't know what ticket sales were but can any Southern Miss fan say there were honestly more than 15K there at any point during the game?
The stadium continued to fill in. We have a big tailgating scene and lots of late arrivals. The east and west sides of the stadium have a capacity just south of 32 and were a bit more than half full. The south end zone, suites, and club seats were all about full and seat about 4.
Call it 20k.
Fair; you were there and I wasn't. That's why the question was asked and I appreciate your answer.
I think by now everyone should be fully aware that reported attendance and even paid attendance is not necessarily what gets reported in box scores. Schools report it differently. So it's silly that some people try to use that data in an attempt to prove a point which is kinda how this thread started. But volumes of research by my WKYUG friend don't seem to make some believe that, and at some point it's just best to give up trying! Some will buy into it, some won't; time to move on.
No further discussion or comments on this topic from me is necessary!

I live just a few minutes south of Katy, Texas, which, like Richmond, is a Houston suburb. I can tell you that Katy spares no expense when it comes to their schools and facilities.

A lot of different people paid for the stadium: The BJCC, the county, the city of Birmingham, Protective Life, and UAB. UAB pays to lease it and is the primary tenant, but you know that already.
Isn't your stadium named after the guy that took 87.5 million in public funds for BoA stadium then "donated" 10 million to the Charlotte football program for stadium naming rights? Sounds like Charlotte citizens should get into UNC-C football games for free.
The Charlotte Taxpayers Stadium has a nice ring to it

I never could understand the issues with UTEP football. You have one of the largest G5 stadiums. In a decently sized city where you’re the only show in town. In Texas, I understand it’s west Texas but still. There is so much potential if y’all could ever sustain some success.

The 3rd school mentioned in that report was McKinney ISD Stadium in McKinney, TX. They said it was still under construction, but it's not. It's been finished for a couple of years now, and the next FCS National Championship game will be held there. I'm told it's moving from Frisco (about 5 miles away) to McKinney.
