From Marshall's perspective, that bomb was a dud.

Or, since the Sun Belt plans to pull an AAC and stand pat after threatening to raid CUSA the way the AAC threatened the Big XII, it would be nice if CUSA went on the offensive with CBS going to bat for them like the Big XII but to add new states and markets in South Alabama, Georgia State, Coastal Carolina, and Appalachian State to get to 12.

Good point. I've been hearing some rumblings about that happening. Maybe add ULL, App, Coastal and JMU or ULL, App, JMU and Liberty. Especially with the money we'll be getting from exit fees. We could pay their exit fees to leave their conference and waive our entrance fees. Go on the offensive and get CBS behind this.

There are no Sun Belt schools interested in CUSA.

I didn't realize the Sun Belt presidents told you everything, BOP. Interesting. How did a little media junkie from Lafayette like yourself get direct information from all the member presidents all the time?

Well BOP has a helluva lot more credibility than the two of you, Deb and A41. Ruston ‘sources’ are laughably funny.

It doesn't matter if they are "interested in joining the AAC" or not. It won't happen. The SBC schools are already under contract with ESPN for roughly 500K each, and the AAC schools are under contract with ESPN for $7M each (or whatever it is). Why would ESPN allow the SAME teams they have under contract for 500K to move to the AAC and have to pay them more $$$?? Won't happen.

CUSA schools are the best targets because they are not already under contract with ESPN. Moving them to the AAC is a net gain for ESPN.

We’ve been trying to tell him that on our board for days now. He just won’t listen. He lives in a fantasy land where Marshall is going to cherry pick a conference of teams they want and everyone else can shove it.

Not true, you guys are delusional. You think the AAC would prefer SBC teams but aren't targeting you just because you all have a deal with ESPN. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard to be honest.

You guys aren't being targeted because the CUSA schools are better candidates...period.

Amazing 180 here and your other posts on page 10. Now the sun belt is the best

Easy answer Dawgxas

UAB, Marshall, Rice, Southern Miss and Tech

When the other article was released I said that no MWC would go to the AAC even though most on here believe it to be true.

Unfortunately for FAU, South Florida doesn’t wanted any of the F_U, and heard that for last month. It could still happen but South Florida is against it.

Funny that this guy is always wrong with his sources..

Credit due to banker though as he stayed consistent for Marshall and not loving the AAC alignment

Whole thread and the 180s looking back is hilarious
