It's like a bad soap opera you can't look away from.

It usually is a bit of a mess. With the AAC losing 3 and Boise up in the air on B12 is a real cluster f__k.

RE: G5 realignment is admittedly entertaining to watch
I really feel bad for the left behinds. The conference really took a huge hit when we left, and now the perception even took another hit after the failed axpansion. Counting the lucky stars that UCF was able to get on a lifeboat.

As a UCF fan, it initially was so sweet looking at what happened to USF..... but after the past month I'm really starting to feel bad for them. Hopefully they will turn things around on the field as well as improving facilities so they will eventually get an invite. However, that is not even certain because B12 is gonna wait and see what happens with the PAC first. Who knows what happens. If B1G raids PAC, the B12 probably goes after the left behind PAC teams instead of raiding G5 ranks again.

There’s not a single USF fan that would feel bad for us or want positive things for us if the positions were reversed. I hope they don’t build a stadium and lose every game for the rest of time.

I doubt it. We might not cheerlead the idea of adding them, but we wouldn’t put blocking them above the best interests of the conference, which is what they did to block us into the Big East after all.

Agree, I don't see us trying to block them, Actually I would almost see the opposite.

I really wish the AAC had landed Air Force and Colorado State. I was looking forward to all the fallout from that move.

i feel bad for the AAC too. I was hoping that Aresco could add some teams that would help keep it the top G5 league.

I don’t wish ill on the AAC at all, but I’m glad the MW held firm. I spent some time in NM and came to enjoy the MW, although that was some time ago with different membership.

I think they still are the top G5 league. Question is can they stay there? I am not gloom and doom on the AAC. Now if B12 takes 1 to 3 more it gets tougher.

Both the MWC and AAC needs to wait and see what the B12 does long term, and the B12 of course is waiting to see what happens with the PAC.

If more expansion coms from those leagues take the best remaining and try and get Army to come along and form the best 16-18 team league. Hopefully, that new league with the current P5 splits off from the rest of the G5 to create a better quality of games in the upper division.

RE: G5 realignment is admittedly entertaining to watch
I don't feel bad. We all knew it was a stepping stone conference when the Big East collapsed. That's why the conference never agreed to a Grant of Rights. The GOR is what saved the Big12 in a lot of respects.

It's better for the new Big12 if Boise State and Memphis are in separate conferences. If the G5 was able to consolidate the best of the rest into a single conference, it could be compared to the Big12. The perception of the new Big12 hasn't been established yet. There are still questions if this is still a P5 or not.

Big12 is still looking over its shoulder. Let the AAC and MW fight it out as our conference rebuilds.

Looks like AAC may add 6 from CUSA. 3 Tex schools, FAU, Charlotte, and UAB.
