Well Done, Southern Miss
KUDOS to Southern Miss . . A Class Act !! 04-bow04-bow04-bow

It was a gesture that went unnoticed by many after Bama slammed Southern Miss over the weekend 63-14, but it was a gesture that I think is worthy to pass along to you.

It was a long, painful night last Saturday for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, but before leaving Tuscaloosa, Coach Will Hall's equipment crew not only cleaned up the visitors locker room inside Bryant-Denny Stadium, they left it spotless.

Alabama's visitors' locker room doesn't seem to be in quite the same shape as the home locker room. They must have run out of money during the last renovation, and weren't able to get to it.

Not really supposed to throw money at the visitors locker room. Purdue doesn't have working AC in the locker room which is borderline inhumane.

They updated the hidden microphones and cameras.

There was an article in the local paper about Georgia Tech doing the exact same thing at UNC, also saying "Leave it better than you found it". I have no idea what the connection is, if any. Just thought that was a good coincidence.

Being a USM fan not sure why this particular one has gained the attention it has. I would guesstimate that probably 75-80% of the football equipment staff do this before leaving the visitor locker room. Same thing for visiting basketball locker rooms and baseball dugouts. Again, glad to see my school reap the rewards but it is very common.

That’s a lot nicer than the visitors’ locker room when I was in school. That thing was a glorified shoe box.

That's what I was thinking too. My dad was part of the staff for Georgia Tech in 1970's and cleaning up after yourself was...standard? Not knocking it, but I'm glad there's some schools that still believe in that.

I will never forget the weekend that a team we were playing in baseball (can't seem to remember who) did some pretty poor cleanup in their dugout and left their scouting reports taped to the whiteboards. Someone brought it to Coach Robichaux and he posted them for our guys to see what other people were saying about them. Needless to say, we swept them that weekend.
