RE: Boise
It could be Boise St, SDSU, Colorado St and SMU to the Big XII, and AFA, Rice and La Tech to the AAC. When OU/UT announce their plans.

RE: Boise
Boise St. vs BYU did a very solid 2.24M viewers on Saturday. Thats very good ratings for the B12 going forward.
From a ratings stand point BSU is very solid and it helps the league get paid for flexibility of playing the late night time slot.

RE: Boise
Only concern I have with Boise, is. They have had a great run picking the right coaches, Has that come to an end? If they are not winning 9 or 10 games a year they don't add anything.

RE: Boise
A deep-pocketed “blue blood” program (particularly one in a highly populated recruiting area) can often weather a bad coaching hire or two - there will likely still be interested candidates and money to draw them. Boise has had a superb run but whether they can persevere and prosper despite a bad hire (or two, or even three) is a fair question.

RE: Boise
The run of coaching hires from Dirk Koetter to Dan Hawkins to Chris Petersen to Bryan Harsin has kept Boise going strong. Certainly agree with what a few other posters said on if they can maintain through a bad coaching hire or two, probably more downside potential than some of the other potential candidates.

Exactly how I view it, if Boise stops winning, they are much more of a drag on the league than anyone else.

I don't want to sound like the nouveau riche here, but I'm just not sold on Boise, for many of the reasons others list. They have a low ceiling, in my opinion, compared to potential adds like South Florida and Memphis. Plus, there's geography and academics. Just don't see it happening....

Boise was one of 6 that received unanimous votes. That being said I think they could be the biggest bust of the possible picks long term.
For the B12 today the short term, in this one case, may matter more than the long.
I think the upside for the 4 already brought in, as well as USF, Memphis, SMU, and even a SD state is better.
