The Herd have a lot of games over 1 million.

App has had three 1+ million viewer games in 2020/2021
Marshall had three 1+ million viewer games in 2020/2021

He's gone out of his way to dump on App State since the realignment mess has started. He can 'not want' a school in conference without denigrating the institution. His pride in his directional school is a tad misplaced.

Marshall has hard a really solid program for quite a while and App State has been coming on for a few years. I am not surprised with > 1m viewers. Good job!

That’s nice and all but what about the academics? We have to make sure the schools who associate with us can carry their weight with academics. I still don’t feel very strong about their markets either.

Apples to oranges. Any team draws with a good record. Pull good numbers with USF’s 2020/2021 records and you’re golden.

Time slots play a factor too. AAC teams get more time on better ESPN slots and ABC slots. Should be easier to get higher ratings with y'alls media deal.



Marshall@App literally was competing with the Carolina Panthers. Getting 28k in the stands and 1 million viewers has blown half of the mountaineer faithful sideways, especially since this game was just 5 days since we had 30k in the stands.

There is an untapped market for a shadow SEC. Just have to find the right schools.

I think both Marshall and App State would be fine additions to the AAC, especially App State.

But no pride in USF is misplaced. USF is a booming institution that is getting better all of the time.

Tulane fans always concerned about academics because that’s all they have. You don’t own the New Orleans market or have athletics.

2. The herd have more games over 1 million than any other team in the sunbelt or CUSA. So my statement stands and is correct even if it does somehow annoy your sensitive little heart.

Markets don’t mean shiite. It’s fans. Schools need to have fans and draw eyeballs. Most of the SEC schools are in small tv markets.
