This has not been brought up on here, but I do want to clarify something. If the Sun Belt adds a new member who already has a poster who is an active moderator on another csnbbs forum, that poster automatically becomes a moderator over here.

As an example, Marshall has a mod in Thunderstruck73. If the SBC does add Marshall, than he would become a moderator over here automatically.

JMU has like 4 mods because they run an active team forum over here. Those would likely transfer over.

The end around to this is, if we do go to 12 or 14 teams, we're going to need more moderators. That likely means nominations and elections. How many we need is going to be dependent on how many teams we add and who we add.

Yes. We’ve had discussions about adding new moderator(s) and what we can do about some of the inactive mods as well. That latter part isn’t in our direct control but we are discussing it. As chiefsfan indicated, we are in a wait and see approach at the moment because we stand to inherit other mods and need to see what that looks like.

I got to go round and round with CajunFanatico once. That was good times, and would probably keep me off the moderator list for life.

Ideally yes, but its complicated. Moderators can't be fired, they can only be removed if they drop off far enough that even the current mods don't know how to find them. (Many of you may remember GoApps, who was active for about 7 months and then dropped off without contact, he was removed because he dropped off every message board he was active on and social media) In our case we know where both of our inactive mods are, they are still active on Social Media and other sites. (Or in CatMom's case, dealing with some family issues at present)

Mods can resign if they wish, but GTS isn't one to remove moderators.

I will say this, we would prefer any new mods come from App, Coastal, UL, or Georgia State. Those are the most active fan bases at present without current mod representation. It is not required, anyone is eligible, but we'd like to give equal representation if possible. However as previously stated, I'm not willing to add anyone until after the SBC makes its moves because we don't know how active our future fanbases are.
