Some interesting results.

Purdue upset of Michigan St. beat Auburn-Texas A&M head to head. Both beat ND-Navy and Baylor-TCU (latter 2 were about equal in ratings) in the 3:30 slot.

Alabama-LSU on ESPN beat Oregon-Washington on ABC head to head as well as Indiana-Michigan on Fox.

It'll be interesting to see in a few years how different things are when ABC can show SEC games prime time.

Cincy did a great job turning out for Gameday. They were loud and numerous and enthusiastic the whole time.

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately given how it went, almost nobody tuned in for the actual Cincy vs Tulsa football game.

It was the third highest rated game of the season at the 3:30 EST slot on ESPN2.

IMO, that's like having the third-longest cockaroo at a "longest cockaroo under 4 inches" contest, or something. Bottom line is, only about 800k tuned in for it.

another week with no games in the top 10.

Figure this week that should change with Michigan St/Ohio St. Arkansas/Alabama could be another game that could get on the top 10.

This shows that it wouldn't make sense for the Big Ten to reduce the number of conference games for Alliance non-conference scheduling in its new TV deal. The other Alliance members (particularly the Pac-12) would be gaining more from non-conference games against Big Ten schools than the Big Ten itself (who would benefit more from keeping more games in-house). Much like the SEC, the most valuable Big Ten games are really their own conference games (whereas the most valuable ACC and Pac-12 games have tended to be non-conference games against the Big Ten, SEC or Notre Dame).

Which underscores the reason there is such a disparity in payouts among conferences. In my experience, ACC fans tend to believe they are (in some cases, grossly) underpaid. My guess is they are about where they should be based on their ratings.
