Selfishly, I wouldn't mind. Would be nice driving 1.2 miles to see them play University of Nevada every other year. Would still prefer AAC obviously.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind it either. The only place that would suck for a road trip would be Wyoming. Otherwise, count me in for roadtrippin' to UNLV, SDSU, Nevada, AF, and Colo. St.

I am retiring soon and would love a few trips out west every year. Maybe 2 FB trips and 1 BB a year.

I guess if Colo St and AIr Force are off the table then so is UAB to MWC.

RE: How ya’ll feel about joining the MWC?
UAB wouldn't be involved in the MWC unless Memphis, Tulane, Tulsa, SMU were too. That isn't happening. MWC appears to be doing right now what the American tried to do with the Big 12 -- stave off a raid by trying to be preemptive. Except they don't have the high ground any more than the AAC did.

Not gonna happen.

AF and CSU at least make *some* sense to move to AAC as a pair. If that's enough to shake loose some others, the MWC was never that stable to begin with. If it's not, it still at least makes sense for those two, especially if it ends up bringing Army to the AAC.

It's a very strong possibility the AAC TV deal isn't going to up our athletic budget significantly. But I was under the assumption that anything is better than what we get in CUSA.

Question, if you had on the table a 3.5 mil a yr payout from the MWC without Boise or a 2.5 mil payout from the AAC without Memphis which would you prefer?

Depends. If there’s no “eastern division” in the MW, I’d probably take the AAC.

There is a eastern division. So?

Hidden, question for you. You've been very active on the realignment discussions on this board, the CUSA board, and especially the AAC board. On the AAC board you seem to fall in line with the group of fans that seem to be in denial about the likelihood that UAB will be added. You even seem to be advocating they leave UAB out and choose other schools. Why is this?

I think you are reading his posts all wrong. He is toying with AAC posters. Now, I don't think joining AAC is his first choice, I think he definitely believes UAB is going. But Hidden is of age and can speak for himself.

It’s called trolling and he is trolling the hell out of the AAC forum

Honestly, I'm trolling the AAC Board because of the ridiculous comments I've read from several delusional AAC posters. But I'm not going to advocate the positives UAB would add to the AAC to a bunch of arses on that board.

It doesn't matter to me whether or not UAB gets into the AAC because it's not the conference I envisioned without the three leaving members and possibly Memphis.

For me it's simply fun banter and stirring the pot from an angle they truly don't understand. I find that absolutely hilarious!

Code broken...lol. Except I'm totally fine with UAB joining the AAC. I'm just not excited about the potential new version of it.

RE: How ya’ll feel about joining the MWC?
...I think for BBall it would be great... and perhaps a 'bump up' somewhat in football as well as compared to the 'new AAC'.... but I think they (MWC) would have to have an eastern 'pod' (there's that word again 03-nutkick), at least somewhat, for it to be totally doable. Yeah, I wouldn't mind going into Colorado or Wyoming for a game, but the 'regional' deal is a tough thing to get around - would rather have Memphis (at least temporarily), Tulane, East Carolina (they were a pretty good 'rival' back in the day, and perhaps their football is getting back on track), and even USF on the yearly football schedule... my only issue is if they want to 'merge' the AAC and MWC somehow, there may not be a seat for us there - although we should have the first spot no matter, and we may be getting in (AAC) regardless...
