ECU has always and will always be incredibly capable. I like Houston but it may take him a few more years to get a full head of steam. WTG Pirates.

ECU currently has 33 Freshman/Sophomores on the two deep. 15 of those players are freshman with 12 of those freshman already earning a letter. Of those Freshman who have lettered, the heaviest concentration is in the defensive line group. Also a freshman who hasn't lettered was just named a starter beating out a Sophomore who was in front of him on the defensive line. We are young up front, but we are extremely talented. With the remainder of this season plus a year in the weight room with 2 seasons of experience, this group will be very tough. I guess we will see 2022 at the Fick when UCF comes to town! It maybe the last time, but it's going to be memorable! Go Pirates!!

Not sure I would say back since they wins are against 1=4 Tulane, FCS & 2-2 Marshall. However, it is good to seeing ECU wins these games. My nephew suffered 2 years in the band with ECU dreadful teams. I would love to see ECU go to bowl to experience the event. Many think the football team only get the experience, but the bands as well. Here's to at least 3 more wins.

I've seen a lot of threads here and elsewhere about who the AAC needs to add to get back to P6 status. But the answer is in programs like ECU. ECU needs to get back to what it's capable of. Glad to see things finally headed back in the right direction.

I think App State should be a no brainer. All the talk about markets, but a top 25 App has a lot more national recognition than a top 25 Colorado State

You can feel the ship turning around. It’s taken time and there will still be some bumps, but the guys playing are mostly sophomores and freshmen, so the future is bright if we keep improving.

Good observation.

The O line is still horrible. They played much better this week, but there still the weakest link. At least Kirkpatrick seems to have realized this and adjust his play calling some. Every game will be a challenge until the O line gets better.

ECU's biggest problems are the o line coach and OC. Both are aged, don't relate well to the kids, and still coach for a style of football most of these kids have never played.

After an embarrassing performance against Charleston Southern I was pleased with todays win over Tulane. Pretty much a total game in all 3 phases. Mitchell is the real deal. That kid can fly.

I've seen some good RB performances. Chris Johnson's 450 all purpose yards against Boise State was epic. I don't know if I'd put Mitchell in that class yet, but that kid is fast. In an interview he said he ran a 4.31 forty and Chris Johnson ran an electronic 4.24 at the combine. All I know is in all of Mitchell's 5 long TD's this season no one has been able to get an angle on him. Go Pirates!!!
