ACC had plenty of time to invite them.

Considering how piss poor a showing the ACC is having this weekend (and last week), it’s time to unconditionally invite UC and WVU. They need the help in sports. Think it’s only a matter of time, especially if the neoBig12 signs a split TV deal with Fox.

Gutted out a nice win. Can't wait to see the drop in the polls.

went to game yesterday - penix missed quite a few open receivers, who'd gotten behind our secondary - overthrew them by a yard or so - mcconnell was out (i think) so we had a little OL kink - that, with the crowd, some nerves, and the atmosphere early, helped to keep the offense sloppy - i think they settled don a bit, and things got a little better

In the halftime show of the Alabama Florida game the hot take was #8 UC struggled to an uninspiring 14 point win on the road while Ohio state rolled to an impressive 19 point win at home.

One team blows the spread away in front of a hostile sold out crowd against a team that was ranked #17 2 weeks ago. The other failed to cover at home against a winless team that lost to a FCS team. Wanna guess which team gets more votes tomorrow than they had last week?

We didn’t even offer the young man.

We usually do a good job identifying local talent. There isn’t that much. I think the Desmond and Chris Barclay that went to Wake Forest are about the only ones that we didn’t at least offer.

Glad to see a Louisville kid doing well. I know a lot of Louisville fans rooting for him.

There are just some guys that have that innate ability to pull games out— gamers, winners, what ever you want to call it. Des is that kind of guy. He is now 34-5 as a starter at UC. He’s won games looking magnificent, and he had pulled out wins when he looked like shyte.

Edit: An interesting aspect of Des’ recruitment, he was listed at 6’1 170 coming out of high school. After his redshirt freshman year he sprouted to 6’4 and is 215. I once heard a coach an effective recruiting tip is when you see an undersized player you need to pay attention to the parents size. If the kid and his dad are both 6’1, odds are he is done. If the dad is taller then he will grow a few inches during the next 4 years.

How many teams are wishing they had given the guy a second look. Knowing that he went to Louisville St X, there would always be scouts at all of their game from major DI schools.

I expected Cincy to win even when falling behind. It indicates the quality of their program.

First road game before fans in a couple years and IU sold out an OOC for the 1st time in many many moons. Our OL was a patch job of backups which was not ideal since they had to use silent counts with no audibles moat of the game.

Once they figured that stuff out we out scored them 38-10 in the final 35 minutes.

And Clemson & ND still getting votes despite their uninspired play. Listened to the Sirius ESPN College FB Sunday show driving home from the Memphis game. Same patronizing crap,. Cincy is "a good team but they don't look like a top 10 program". Just total biased BS. Then they act like PSU beating the 5th-6th best SEC makes the favorite to win the natl championship.

If Cinci goes undefeated and Notre Dame has 1 loss they are lock for the playoff...

Notre Dame doesn't have a world beater schedule to end the season so that is possible.

Sad state of affairs that their chances hinge on another teams performance though.

It depends on who you ask. Kirk Herbstreit said during the Auburn-Penn St telecast that he believed Cincinnati was a top 10 team right now. Meaning...until they show that they're not. I was actually surprised by his comment since he typically hasn't given Cincinnati a sniff other than his beloved Reds.

I think Herbstreit and some other ESPN analysts have to walk a fine line when it comes to talking about UC. Herb and Galloway are both OSU guys and have a relationship with CLF, yet I'm sure they have been told to keep their praise of UC to a minimum. Herbstreit's son plays football at St X, and I think he does personal training with Tony Pike on the side.
