Exclamation Open Thread CFP 9/18
Big Ten vs. SEC Day! We are! We better win. Unlike Ohio State, we don't have a good men's basketball team. Don't make me have to cheer for Iowa to get a Big Ten team in the CFP!

And I somewhat forgot there was a Friday night game ... and one of my alma maters was playing in it. The game started at 9pm ET, really? I didn't stay up. 03-old Congrats to Maryland, still undefeated! Maryland and Rutgers have a better record than Ohio State now??? And you thought they were the dead weight of the conference?

Congratulations to Penn State you won a hard fought game and overcame 2 rotten calls to win. And I can't understand why the SEC's worst crew drew this game. We have some really good officials and this crew has been roundly criticized in our own league games.

Good game Auburn! You guys came in and fought well. I wasn't sure if you made the right coaching hire but the early returns look promising. Good luck the rest of the way!

Worst SEC crew? Mississippi State says hi.

I didn't recognize any of those working the Memphis game. I wondered whose they were? A few years back officials had conference patches (black and white ones, but discernable). Maybe its my eyes but I don't or can't see any now, though I have 20/20 correctable. I've never seen officiating as bad as that at Memphis at the collegiate level before. I've seen bought officials and they operate very similarly. And if that's the case at Memphis they sure weren't paid by the SEC.

They also (unreported by ESPN) acknowledged that Miss St. recovered the on sides kick which they awarded to Memphis, but said they saw an illegal block (no flags on the original play) to justify giving the ball to Memphis. So they reviewed and illegally used the review to enforce a penalty (and not a personal foul) they did not call as justification to deny the recovery.

Absolutely wonderful game and I hope the ratings are tremendous. Happy Valley delivered last night and congratulations to the Nittany Lions!

Auburn, much respect for scheduling this and the impact of this loss should be minimal.
