NIU 27
Pig Ten Wolverines 38

NIU goes 2-2 OOC, 6-6 on the season, good progress with a boneyard victory

(Michigan loss is not for certain of we play like we did in Georgia!)

RE: Boneyard Prediction- Michigan Week
Hammock mentioned Antario Brown and Mason Blakemore as scout team people that helped them prepare. Antario Brown I'm somewhat familiar with but not Mason Blakemore, what do we know about him?

Boneyard Prediction- Michigan Week
Blakemore joined in summer and Hammock has said complimentary things about him. RB room is stacked!

I'm 20 minutes outside Ann Arbor. Let me see if I can find some info.

I missed this but where is Erin Collins?

Good question, not sure what happened there. It's also curious that Waylee and Ratkovich are the only RB to get carries, although they've shown enough to not get carries taken away from them, certainly.

Who is the backup now behind Lombardi?

I like Hammock's press conferences, hopefully the coaching and results follow over time.

True freshman Hampton. Mature beyond his years.

In addition, Hammock said: "Ethan is the back-up, he made it interesting for us all summer, but he is a guy that, when called upon, he will be ready. He has the ability, his knowledge of the game is there, his presence is impressive as a freshman, he carries himself the right way and he throws a heckuva ball."

I think the NIU offense will be “fine”

In fact, I expect a better performance all around. That said a better performance vs a much better opponent might still result in a loss.

We are going to learn a lot about some guys tomorrow, that’s for sure.

RE: Boneyard Prediction- Michigan Week
My belief is that we as college football fans overrate teams based on their jersey. With that being said I am going to predict this: NIU 24 Michigan 22. There is some last ditch heart attack effort to give Michigan the win by refs or TV executives, but we enjoy listening to national radio for the weekend and Monday morning. Let’s do it.

RE: Boneyard Prediction- Michigan Week
I'd like to say the spirit of Diesel comes back to punch Harbaugh in the face....

... but Rocky had to leave MSU for a reason despite winning last year (empty stadium).

In front of 100,000 -- yeah, he could pull off a comeback to beat the spread. But that's about it. And I hope he does. Beats them down like an Ex from AA. :)

But yeah, at best, NIU plays them tough. NIU prior -- could play anyone (including OSU!) down to the wire. I think NIU could very well play it well. But, yeah, Harbaugh wants revenge on Rocky who is too inconsistent.

34-31. NIU capitalizes on 2 Mich turnovers and our defense shows up. Rocky looks like the rocky that beat them last year.
