Sort of... Depends on who else they bring in, really the AAC is CUSA2.0 plus a few like temple minus a few like Cincy. I'm not sure that moves the needle enough for us to give up the MAC.

But it all depends. Would their TV deal stay at 7 mil per team, per year? That could be interesting.

AAC TV deal will not be that great in the future when you lose Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF - three large TV markets now gone.
UCONN already dropped out and they are horrible in FB.
Navy draws nationally like USAFA and ARMY and they are still there.
Tulsa and Tulane and SMU are smaller private schools so less TV interest.
The only large universities left are ECU, Temple, Memphis, and USF.

If buyout for AAC was not so bad for these schools, the MAC Attack could create an awesome conference with Temple, ECU, Memphis, and USF/Marshall/UMASS. Fix this mess ESPN!

16-18 team MAC mega conference with very solid hoops….
These are all large state universities with a broad geographical footprint, but somewhat possible travel regions.
MAC is one of the oldest conferences in the US.
Then add schedule alliances with ARMY and NAVY for FB/BB.
That would/could be awesome.
