I am in healthcare. I own a dental practice. I just mandated all staff get vaccinated. Vaccinated staff members help with herd immunity. This effects MORE THAN THEIR OWN BODY.
This vaccine requirement is the responsible thing to do for a healthcare setting which treats patients. Staff members who refuse can leave and go work somewhere else. That is their right, and there are plenty of jobs out there. But, I ABSOLUTELY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO HIRE OR FIRE SOMEONE BASED ON THEIR VACCINATION STATUS. The practice and/or myself will be held responsible if we negligently spread covid to patients or staff. Therefore, we are entitled and have a responsibility to take the necessary steps of sanitation and infection control.
I just dont know how our country and society lost our grip on common sense.

The above vaccines were all tested and approved before dispensing. This Covid
vaccine is exploratory and that is why they have you sign paperwork that they are not responsible for side effects and that you are more or less agreeing to be a trial tester. I have known personally people that have suffered blood clots, heart attacks, strokes, etc. after receiving the so called vaccine. What ever happened to the women's movement of MY BODY, MY CHOICE ? When the government MANDATES you get the shot or risk losing your job, closing you're business, etc. etc. then that is completely showing they want complete control over you and what they dictate that you will do or else. No thank you on my part to be forced to do something that I know can be harmful to me and my family. Also, what about people who have an underlying medical condition such as lupus and their own doctor suggest that they not get the shot but the government mandates that you will ? Sorry Charley but not for me.

I have to sign those waivers every time I get a flu shot. I had to sign a waiver when I got the Shingles vaccine. I had to sign a document acknowledging I might die when I had cataract surgery.

I’ve known people that didn’t get the vaccine that have suffered blood clots, heart attacks and strokes. I also know 9 people who haven’t been vaccinated and DIED of complications of COVID.

Could you provide a link where the CDC has stated that the COVID vaccines are “exploratory”?

For clarification, the government is not mandating you get vaccinated. No troops are going to show up at your house, hold you down, and shove a needle in your arm. They are not mandating you must be vaccinated to keep your job. You have the option of being tested weekly for COVID. There are some exceptions, notably some healthcare workers who would risk passing an infection to a patient who could die if exposed.

Interesting thread twist. Anyway, I am vaccinated. It was the best choice for ME and my family.

I don’t care what others do. If the vaccine works as advertised, I should have very little risk of serious medical issues or death.

I can also get Covid, and I can spread it, just like the unvaccinated. But for some reason, I can go to work without testing and the unvaccinated can’t (as soon as this rule goes into effect).

I don’t get it. It’s just another way to force individuals to take a vaccine that they don’t want, or don’t trust. Anyone that can 100% tell you this vaccine is safe is lying. We have no idea if there will be long term complications (since it hasn’t been around long term). I was ok with it, someone else might not be.

We’re simply at a time where individuals need to manage their risk and live with the ramifications of their choices.

Anyone that can tell you that ANY vaccine is 100% safe is lying. Anyone that can tell you that ANY drug is 100% safe is lying.

The nature of the mRNA vaccines give me pause. The long term health effects haven't been able to be verified over long periods of time. The Moderna shot still is considered experimental, as it has not received FDA approval yet.
I was set to take the Johnson and Johnson when it was introduced...until people started developing blood clots or having strokes.
I'm not anti-vaxx by any means. I have taken the flu vaccine, and the shingles vaccine...etc etc.
I'm just waiting on a vaccine that has followed the script of production for vaccines that we have followed for years now in modern medicine...and that is NovaVax.

Vaccinated people can still spread the virus.

Your patients should require you to show them your vax cards and recent hepatitis and HIV test results.

I find it frustrating that before the election many Biden supporters said there is no way they will take a Trump vaccine.

Now after the election, they are lining up to take the exact same vaccine they used to oppose.

And those who supported a possible vaccine before the election are now line up to oppose it.

No, normally if you are collecting rocks i'd agree. This is killing people, so lets be accurate.

Vaccinated people spread the virus for a shorter time period than the unvaccinated. Meaning they infect far fewer people and fewer people die. In the Singapore and UK studies, it looks like your are infectious by about as half as much. The US studies didn't test infectious duration only the viral load after 3 days (and it was the same). Bottom line being vaccinated saved lives by reducing the efficacy. Read the CDC website or the study on the Nature website.

I'm done on this. Bottom line; If you don't get vaccinated you are more likely to kill someone or be killed. If you don't get vaccinated you help our communist enemies. Do the right thing, take the shot.

Take any international study with a grain of salt.

There are at least 13 different vaccines being used and a lot of these studies are with vaccines that are not approved for use in the US and whose effectiveness is around 70%.

We know that 2 of the 3 vaccines approved for use in the US are around 90-95% effective.

Many of the international vaccines used a different methodology and combat the virus differently than the US versions.

We have a weapon in this battle that is effective.

USE IT.
