Google Maps shows us that is the end of a road in an apartment complex.
A DWI at 5am...?

Must have been one hell of a party.

On the bright side maybe he can get a NLI deal in with a good DUI lawyer in exchange for legal services. Too Soon?

damn, he was caught not wearing a mask?

you can do better than this

oh come on with the patronizing "do better" comments.

It was clearly a joke, making light of the comments other posters made about not wearing a mask is equivalent to drunk driving.

I'm gonna guess we win 33-17. Hopefully it's a good old fashioned beat down though. We will see where the fcs top 10 stands in comparison to JMU here. Wish I could attend. A night game in Utah sounds amazing

RE: Week 3 JMU @ Weber St
Vegas has Weber +6 1/2 points at home. Before the season I suspected they would be home favorites, but their QB injury and JMU’s demolition of Maine have had influence on the current spread.

Should get Greene and Obese back which bodes well for JMU.
Greene is a huge game changer and I think JMU will wreck Weber’s offensive line giving them no time to operate. Lots of TFL’s and sacks coming. The Wildcats are going to struggle to score and will need some trickery on gadget plays or fake punts/kicks/onsides to try to compete.

This is very important for playoff seeding because the Big Sky already has 3 wins over FBS teams. If Weber upsets JMU we are certain to see multiple West teams seeded in the top 8 come playoff time and getting the guaranteed home games.

JMU 30
Weber 10

All of the revenge mindset won’t matter a bit once the game starts. Weber goes 0-3 against JMU

I wish I had a bit of y'alls confidence.... I'll be happy with a 3-point win. I do worry about the long flight, altitude, first road trip of the year, and highest caliber team we've seen. I think (hope) we'll be able to take care of business, but being honest, I've seen Cig fail to manage in game distraction and adversity. The team is great when we're in control but seems like all that talent can over play when we're up against a wall and Cig hasn't figured out how to harness that yet, IMO.

Look, I'm hoping and rootin' but I don't see a double digit win. Happy to eat crow and throw in a $50 donation to the Duke Club if we win by more than 10.

Will you multiply that by 10 if we win by 20?

27-20, Dukes survive and cover in a very competitive game. Weber scores one of their TDs on either a trick play or special teams.

Special teams is what has me worried. Have we improved since the Sam Houston game? We cannot have blocked kicks and give up game changing returns.

Kick Coverage and Punt Return specifically is what concerns me along side Trick Plays/Pass D. Other than that I have a lot of confidence. Cant wait to be there cheering and screaming

Weber can't score 20 on us and they can't hold us to 27. Come Saturday, only JMU can beat JMU.

I think they can get to 13 with their backup qb and then 7 more on some kind of trick play or our special teams having a lapse. I like our defense to cause trouble all day but a quick 7 without a drive can make a game close very quickly

We will see. I think their backup QB is better than their starter.

Strangely enough in a one time pandemic super senior season, Weber State is a little younger than normal.
They “only” have a few 26 year old men on the roster this year. But the grandpa of the team is their 27 year old Junior punter. Hahahaha he will be a 28 year old senior next year.

Perhaps he has 3 wives too in the land where one is simply not enough. 01-wingedeagle

It truly will be men against boys on Saturday.

Hopefully he'll be late to the game when his granddaughter's soccer game goes overtime. 03-old

I don’t want to derail this thread from the football discussion, but I do this young man and his teammates learn from this. He’s a fine young man from a very nice family that made a very poor decision to get behind the wheel. A DWI is horrible, but there can be worse results when you drive under the influence. This too shall pass and he’ll come out of this with an expensive lesson, but hopefully one that resonates. The football team has enough depth to survive his suspension.

Each time I hear about someone with a DWI I struggle with what to think. While I probably drink about once a month on average these days and max out at half a bottle of wine, or 2 or 3 beers/drinks there were probably times in the last year I drove with .08. I don't know.

My first thought is did the person with the DWI just have bad luck? But I will say through the years I probably know of 10 people who received DWI's and it did not surprise me because they were all decent drinkers.

Now in high school, college, or when I used to be in bowling leagues pre 2000 there would of been many times a month I would of been in the DWI range. That said, I've always drank less than most.

Getting back to Vanhorse - when I hear of a college person with a DWI I usually think 70% of the driving population at college will probably drive some time at .08.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I dunno....

Yeah I agree it's always tough to know what to think of it. .08 is so low that it could be something where they really thought they were fine and honestly probably were, and you've especially gotta feel for him if he "slept it off" and thought he was fine. Even the other extreme, if he was really bad off then friends should've been looking out for him and making sure he doesn't drive, I'm sure we've all had times we had to stop a totally hammered friend that wanted to drive somewhere. At the same time, I've certainly known people who fairly often drive drunk enough that they shouldn't drive but sober enough that they know they shouldn't drive.

Yep - I'm all for giving the benefit of the doubt, hoping it was bad luck versus an issue.
