Things were much improved this game. Thanks stf for making this work. Small lines and enough drinks for everyone.

Yes and it was very nice to bring in a water bottle. Hope they keep that for the rest of the season.

Yes. The criticism was deserved as are the kudos for recognizing and fixing things.

SF blaming everybody.

Zoom camera pointing to the ceiling. Somebody tell our Executive Assoc. AD Cheney to place a couple of books under his laptop.

They had small concessions in the cages on the ramps. Had beer and some snacks. Actually had beer vendors in the stands.

They didn't explain why they ran out of everything. Was it not on hand in the stadium anywhere, or was it just not transferred to the concession stands? The crowd was smaller than we'd usually get for an opener. Otherwise it would have been even worse.

Plus, this fiasco has been going on for a few years. What’s the excuse for past years?

How many years have we been complaining about hot dog shortages? Was it a “supply chain” problem a few years ago? Or was it that they simply did not order enough supplies?

A couple years ago I went to the concessions stand for a couple hot dogs for me and a pretzel for my wife plus a couple bottles of water. They were out of hot dogs and water and I couldn’t get a pretzel because they said they were heating them. Is this a supply chain problem, or is it the fact that they don’t know what the hell they’re doing?

I love how Cheney ends the interview saying it doesn’t matter if it’s a 10,000 or 100,000 person crowd, it’s all the same issues and kudos to this channel (with 11 subscribers) for putting the video out there for other schools to learn from them. Did they do this video so all the other Big10 schools can stop calling them for advice on how to run a game day program? Is that why Sean could only participate in the final walk through, because he spent the whole week prior explaining the proper hotdog-fan ratio to the Michigan AD?

RE: Concession Lines
That whole thing could have been boiled down to a minute. Everybody tangled up in the vaccinate/no vaccinate, mask-on/mask-off frenzy for the past 20 months also knows about it. There are thousands of people who deal with supply chain logistics every day who are dealing with -- and overcoming -- those same issues. Ask retailers about the hardship of getting enough local drivers to get stuff from their warehouses.

Not like NIU doesn't already know. It offers an undergraduate Logistics program aimed at "effective management of supply chain and its constituents (that) is important to effectively and efficiently compete in a global economy."

Alas. Some people just can't lead a one-cow cattle drive across a one-way bridge without causing a traffic jam.
