Yep Ra'Shaad Samples who Dykes brought with him from SMU and Bryan Carrington who was on Herman's staff as a recruiting coordinator at Texas and most recently on the staff as USC in a recruiting capacity are doing great work already and I think will make a big impact on TCUs recruiting.

Early signing day is right around the corner and the frogs still only have 4 commits for 2022, so hopefully the next few weeks will be fruitful.

The teams with new head coaches like Texas Tech and TCU should improve greatly by signing day. A little more concerned about teams like Kansas State and Kansas, who have coaches with job security at the moment.

I'm surprised Houston only has 9 commits -- especially since the average recruit ranking on 247 is only 84.06. Dana must be planning to hit the transfer portal hard. With this year's success, the move to the Big 12, and all the talent in the Houston area, Houston should be putting together top 50 classes annually IMO.

Yes that’s always baffled me with all the talent around Houston. Your classes should be ranked similarly to Cincy and UCF, not Tulsa and usf.

Cincinnati 2022 recruits include: Mario Eugenio-4-star 6'3" 240 edge rusher-Gaither High-Tampa Florida, Derrick Shephard-DL 6'3" 295 Archbishop Alter-Dayton, Ohio-4 star and JQ Hardaway- S- 6'2" 190, 4-star, Phenix, Alabama.

i do think that uc will pull a couple of surprises with the transfer portal - success and hard work breed more success!

Even af WVU DH relied upon transfers (Grier, Trickett, etc...) more than traditional "recruiting."

It is a major weakness in his coaching, IMO. You are dealing with kids who, for one reason or another, are leaving a situation and have been only partially formed into a system.

But then again, Holgs is not a "hands-on" coach... He is more of an "executive"/manager type than the "in the trenches" guy.

Good point Dave. I didn't think of that. Cincinnati could get some pleasant surprises

I don’t want to spam this thread with posts considering this week is signing day, but I’m here to eat crow. I questioned the recruiting of Dana’s staff and by all accounts this is going to be a very good week for UH recruiting. I expect the 3 schools departing the AAC to be at the top of the conference recruiting rankings.

based on his track record, i don't think you need to apologize for questioning DH's recruiting "efforts" - at this point, he needs to change his approach, and earn your respect, before you do that

Signing day is tomorrow! Hopefully there’s not too much negative drama… although UCF did supposedly flip an Iowa State commit, 4 star RB Xavier Townsend, from Tampa, FL.

A little bit of “intra-conference” transfer portal action, as KU picks up a former Golden Knight at LB.

A few other transfers claim to be incoming. It’ll be interesting to see how signing day plays out.
