I got no issue showing interest and tracking those waaaaay off from graduating. Texting and social media doesn't cost much. I take more issue with schools extending an "offer" to a HS freshman. It isn't done as much anymore, but it used to happen. A freshman could verbally commit to a school that day, only to have that school not honor the commit if the kid doesn't physically mature to their liking.

Does this pattern of showing interest in 14 year olds reflect a fundamental difference in this staff's approach, or just a more public face on what has been done for many years? It seems like this is the first time I've seen threads on current freshmen.

I agree, making contact is fine, but I think scholarships should be reserved until kids are juniors or seniors.

Especially with how transient coaches are. By the time 2025 rolls around, I wonder how many current head coaches will still be at the same school.
