Passing Defense
Our passing defense might have some historically ridiculous statistics this year.

Here's the teams with (arguably) the worst QBs so far:

NCAA leaders in LOWEST offensive passing completion percentage
29.6% - Temple
31.3% - Navy
31.6% - San Diego State
32.1% - Miami
42.4% - USF
42.4% - Indiana

#22 - 53.6% - Tulsa
#23 - 53.7% - ECU

What you showed is the opponents. Here's the team rankings.

1 TX El Paso 27.27%
2 Rutgers 29.63%
3 Marshall 31.25%
4 Cincinnati 32.14%
5 NC State 42.42%

I specifically watched the pass defense in the first game and Miami only threw at Gardner one time that I saw. I would assume most teams will do this so Coby Bryant is gonna have his hands full this year.

I changed the OP to state it more clearly.

Where do you find that data?

All 6 of these are upcoming opponents for us. I bet they would be pretty tasty with some Sauce all over them...

PFF Pro has all of that, but I think Sauce said it on Twitter...first game he has ever not been targetted. Hell, the ball was only thrown to his HALF of the field once, on a swing pass.

RE: Passing Defense
Fick mentioned in his presser this week that the staff may have to move him around. He didn't quite say it this directly but the take was to keep Sauce involved/engaged in the game. We don't need him acting like a baseball outfielder and scratching his nuts and looking at airplanes going overhead.

But that was my favorite position, lots of time to plan world dominance, in little league.

When I coached Knothole it was always a hoot to try to keep the outfielders from picking clover or their noses.
